GabrantusGuestPCSX2 should be your preferred emulator, provided your computer has the power to run it. My PC is 5 years old, so I expect most people to have a better one.
As for Link's laptop, it seems pretty powerful, so of course it can run an emulator.
Now Link, your mission is to play SMT: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, and Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Soul-less army, and Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon, so I can finally talk about them with someone here.
Truth be told, I haven't finished any of them yet...

I'll look into it, I want to beat the first kingdom hearts again and then play the second because when it came out I couldn't afford it, and I doubt i could find it again today without ordering it off the internet. Also, my PS2 fell from a book shelf a few too many times and only half the audio works unless you have the a/v cord in just right.
I'm also planning on looking into devil may cry, seems pretty fun but never played it. So far the only problem with FPS drops i've had is when it looked out over the ocean on a cut scene, it dropped to 30 and the people talking sounded like they were drunk, pretty funny.
That's also the emulator i'm using, working pretty good and the PS3 controller just makes it that much better. I can play SNES games on a keyboard, but when you start to include joysticks i start to dislike using the keyboard more and more.

Although not really horror, i recommend Battle Royale to anyone, especially if they enjoyed the hunger games. Be warned, you have to read the entire movie unless you speak japanese. It's pretty much hunger games with kids x10000 awesomeness.

1 guy 1 jar was meh. Imo 3 guys 1 hammer was the most disturbing one. The way he gurgled on his blood was..... yeah. Also, the recent zeta executions were kinda disturbing. They way they chopped people with axes.... alive.
