My hands are too small to 'comfortably' reach alt & ctrl while reaching for numbers or the function buttons. :(

I did forget to mention the function buttons though. I do have them bound, just not in conjunction with modifier keys.

Oh, and I have R and shift-R bound as well. (Peeking at my UI now. x: )

I went to visit a bud that got a new home some 20 km from my city. I took the train to reach him and to come back home, I had to wait till 7pm or so. So I did the hitchhiking.
Anyway a random guy stopped by and took me in. He went all the way to the city, but as we got closer, he ran out of gas so his car stopped. I got down, asked what's the problem (I was already in the city so I had to get down anyway). He told me ran out of gas and can't start the engine 'till he buys some. When I hear that, I ran like hell and didn't pay him. I knew he can;t outrun me, so I basically took a free ride home.

In my country is sort of common to pay the ones that tale you in. however, not everyone accepts money, but some bastards actually ask for more. I used to hitchhike all around the country during summers with a few friends. It's actually pretty funny and cheap like hell. Sometimes you make good friends with others and end up having a large group to get around with xD but it's fun.

The thing is it doesn't matter. Maybe you won't able able to go for 10.000 kilometers, you will only go for 9.999. Same ****. If the guy's car was nice and if he was nice, I gladly pay (but not more than the cost of the train / bus, maybe half) but as I said, you usually don't pay for it.
