Kind of a pointless opinion, but I think that the parents today or at least in the 2000's are too soft with their children, judging for all the spoiled brats that can and will get away with everything. I believe that corporeal punishment, aka spanking is a good way to teach children right from wrong. No, I don't mean beating your child over spilled milk. Kids are kids, humans. We all make mistakes and accidents happen. But there are so many examples of wrongdoings. From thievery, to bullying, assaulting, mugging, lying, bad things just to spite others. It all depends on the severity of the problem.

Of course, thereÔÇÖs a fine line between discipline and abuse. A few slaps or the wooden spoon on the butt is fine as long as it doesn't drag on more than it's necessary. Pretty much all of 90' children got their fair share of *** whooping and I would say that we turned out fine.

Bottom line, I won't disagree with corporeal punishment should the need arise.

  2. My mum hits me on the head with a wired brush until it breaks and strangles me, occasionally throttles me every time I annoy her, does that count?

I think physical punishment like you have described is fine, but I think parents should find other ways to discipline children as some take it too far.

    Hellz, I am slightly aroused.

In all seriousness, yeah, physical punishment like a good spanking is fine to get the message across. Some kids simply can't understand right from wrong, or they're simply little devils.

Aye, my father used to slap me or give me a kick to my butt when I did something really wrong or acted like a spoiled candyass. I'm grateful for it, because I did learn my lessons, it teached me morals and it turned me into the strong (or so I like to believe) person I am today. Sometimes I'm so happy that I didn't turn out like some kids of today.

I would never let anyone do that to me at that age /:

Ow, sorry for the joke :( But... can't you do something about it? Do you fear that it will screw up your family (even more that it's already screwed)? I know you;re not an adult yet, so that may be the case, like the that girl that was beaten by her father and secretly recorded it but kept it hidden until she was 18.

Damn, that kind of abuse makes my blood boil. I agree with the occasional slap 'n spank. Hell my mom broke her wooden spoon off me when I was 10 or so. I ended up laughing at her but only received a good slap, lol. But abuse (of any kind actually)... makes me angrier than a thousand Gods. It's ok if you don't want to talk about it.

Silly Mirmulnir, my sarcasm detector never fails :)

I can't do anything about it, my parents will just beat me up even more. They don't do it much now, the abuse stopped being so violent when I turned 14, because they brought me up to be a miserable kid who hates the world and despises their parents for bringing them into it. My mum has also started to go to church so I guess she's gained a perspective. They know when I leave home I will never keep in touch so I think they're trying to be good people now.

I don't hate them for beating me up now. I used to, I have a bag packed in my closet which has been there for many years during the time when I wanted to run away but I thank them for it now. It's made me physically stronger and more tolerant of pain, I want to join the army, so I'll need it.

  11. To this day I am still scared of my mom hitting me. Moms can hit hard :'|

  12. At one point, we all clicked and keyturned

    R-Right guys? Right!?

You do need to keybind your mount if you want to be the person that mounts first in a 50 yrd chase or when an enemy lets you get out of combat in an arena game. It makes all the difference. You probably believe binding your food/drinks isn't necessary either, don't you?
