I used to think that jumping "behind" the mobs I soloed while questing allowed me to avoid some dodges and parries. For probably 2-3 months I would constantly jump over them back and forth while attacking.

For the first 50-ish or so levels...I had the auto attack button still on 1...and kept on pressing it...over and over...and over...but then I asked on the forum and the nice chaps responded, telling me that it doesn't matter if it's on the action bar or not xD
On my first char I died in the dungeon blackfathom deeps. Then to comeback revive you need while in spirit form to get under the water. I didnt knew how to do it so I was almost gonna delete this char when a guy in the group said me mouse down. That was the best discovery of my life, i was so happy xD.
TBC retail.
I used to think that Strength gave you health and health regen like in warcraft 3,so i gemmed my hunter with mostly str gems.
I was pretty much the tankiest hunter ever.
When I started WoW with my rogue at BC time, I turned "in war" with friendly factions just to pickpocket guards, cause that was the safest way to make gold I've found :D
When i started playing WoW, at lower lvls, i thought that if i equip green items (bind on equip), i will never be able to remove them from my character. so i used only grey and white items till the lvl 20'ish... i was so angry on people with epic gear -_- ...
