You've actually missed out quite a bit. Gabe didn't plan for first Half Life to become so popular. It is a simple shooter but the whole Half Life series has quite the story. Half Life 2 explains a lot and if you're willing to really take your time and play the first Half Life, you'll find out a lot more about Gordon, G-Man, what happened, who are the aliens, what are the combine. It seems like you just ran through the game.

The only thing Half-Life has going for it is the TECHNOLOGY it introduced to each gen an installment was released in. It's a good game but not the greatest thing ever.

I confess being torn between Xperia or Galaxy.

I got a Galaxy S2, through a prepaid service from walmart, it's pretty cool. Thinking about rooting it, but scared that I could brick it.

No problems so far, and it lasts for about a day without needing a charge, without skype turned on. Although, don't get the cheap screen protectors. My thumb nail, which is almost always cut all the way down, scratched the hell out of the one I got.

As for Half Life 3, in any case it WILL be a good game, if not a game of the year, but up there. Half life were always quality.
