And your right, Tanks are rare but it have reason, I always see a lot ppl ask for tank for rdf hc and raids in global. Even when i wanna do rdf hc, There are at least 5 ppl need tank but i prefer to go with my guild. You know why?! Because our dps do min 20k dps and our healer are skilled and all know all tacts.

When i can do rdf , raid with my guild why would i join pug ?! Low dps , Lack of heal and Leaving when ever ins is hard.

When ever we want to do rdf hc, We have all we need inside the guild!

So again, I suggest find a good guild.

We are pvp guild and our standard is pretty much high and u really need to be skilled to join us but as i said we do raids (not every week but we rock ;) ) and rdf hc.

Tanks have always been a problem it is not exclusive to Molten, even on retail with a much higher population tanks are still a rare commodity along with healers (that's why to encourage it Blizzard implemented the Call to Arms loot). As for why it is not a popular class you can simply ask yourself for the reasons why you would roll a DPS class over either support class, and I disagree that it is because battlegrounds are an easier place to farm points so DPS is more apt.

Reasons are numerous one of the main ones being that tanking is difficult, you have more mechanics to remember, requires more awareness and knowledge, positioning, and not as much room for error. Another popular one I find is that people just like having the highest numbers and DPS provides that and competitiveness. I could go on but point I do not find the lack of tanks to be such a mystery given what the role requires and entails.

It's really that when you're a tank you can be stuck with terrible DPS. Even if you do a great job chances are the DPS will just drag you down. This is of course mainly applicable towards early RDF groups.
