You have to go around to all the different spawn points in the map with red circles posted by the OP.

I can confirm that they spawn approximately every hour on Frostwolf. If you kill one and come back an hour later looking for the next spawn then there is an unlikely chance that it will be in the same place. And if you haven't found the next spawn after going to all the places - then check all the places a second time and I guarantee it will show up somewhere.
If you still haven't found a Vyra/TLPD then a likely case is that someone else has already found and killed that mob and its corpse disappeared before you even got to that spawn point.

Which spawn points where Vyra/TLPD spawns is completely random so you obviously got to keep constantly checking them. The Vyragosa's and my TLPD that I killed were all in different spawn points

Thanks for this guide, it made all the difference.

After a few hours searching yesterday I killed Vyra in Uludar, the west spawn point, he was hovering inside the columns.

Today I went to Storm Peaks just as the server disconnected. I flew round the spawn points and NPCScan went off
as I passed Bors Fall. He was in the air and flying a small circular path. He was difficult to to bring down so I called a guildie with slowfall and we got him to land. Fight was easy.

I found Vyragosa in Dirkee`s spawn point in Engine of the makers.

I found TLPD on Sargeras right under ulduar at 12:36 server time on monday

Just got mine at around 7:00 today on neltharion, killed vyragosa three times after i saw allies kill it, then it spawned twice in a row

Okay, I know this is a thread for a Cata server and I'm on WotLK Ragnaros, but I need some help. I have NPC scan and I spent literally 3 days straight in Stormpeaks farming for this damn drake. One of my runs was a little over 10 hours long too. Ten hours straight flying around all 12 spawn points continually, only breaking to use the bathroom and make food (it was mind-numbingly boring).

During all of this time I didn't see a single rare. I didn't see Dirkee, or Skoll, or Vyragosa, and certainly not TLPD. I didn't even see the corpses of any of them! So please, if anyone on Ragnaros can verify that TLPD, or ANY Stormpeaks rare for that matter, does infact spawn AT ALL on Ragnaros please, please, PLEASE confirm it here for me. Otherwise I'm truly beginning to believe TLPD on Ragnaros simply does not work at all. I'm begging someone to prove me wrong. :(

I think on Cataclysm, TLPD and Vyragosa spawn according to what is stated by the OP (This is not the same on retail). On retail, the drakes have flight paths that they follow, and don't just stay in one spot.

Now if memory serves, I heard somewhere in another post that someone quoted from the changelog, a while ago for Wrath realms that they fixed the intended flight paths according to retail for TLPD and Vyragosa.

That would be kinda cool if they DID fix it according to retail for the Wrath realms, though it doesn't explain why I've never seen hide nor hair of any of the rares or their corpses. I also don't recall ever seeing any players a with tlpd mount, and I've spent a fair bit of time in Dalaran. :/

I have a friend who found it,my guess is,that the spawn on wotlk is much lower then on cata...(P>S. they don't move from flight pass,that's what my friend said)
