Would you rather they give us the plot in a monotonous fashion?
I prefer being hyped up rather than utterly bored to the point where I won't even see the movie.
Considering movie prices are $13 a piece where I go during matin?®e hours I don't have the money to willy-nilly try movies.
That reminds me of watching TV the other day, I never watch TV but I turn it on and see the same stupid Elysium trailer 3 times during commercials, and then the most stereotypical hype trailer comes on for Breaking Bad.
Big cascading music, segmented words with no point, just to make it intense. I dunno how that can hype anyone.
If you've ever watched anything before seeing the trailers/commercial, you realize it's all BS.
We're all different, I suppose.
Judging by the number of people who watch Breaking Bad I believe it's working.
Am I the only one that believes that only simple minded people watch Breaking Bad? Please tell me I'm not the only one.
I'm not saying you are but I'm not sure if you've noticed that it works because most the audience religiously watching TV are airheads. It's like saying "Well One Direction's "Up All Night" album was the 4th top selling album of 2012, so they're incredibly talented". I've never listened to them even once honestly, but I can make assumptions from the fanbase that it's just because they're a boy band with pretty faces.
Audience really should never determine something's quality lol.
Quality > Quantity
It's good, I wouldn't judge anyone for watching it. I stopped personally watching it after the Twins. That little story arc felt too goofy and dragged on but it's a solid show, especially the first seasons and I'm glad Hal is getting a lot of attention now. Good for him.
I've never seen it, I was just noticing the promo commercials haha.
It's like every movie trailer ever. Trailers never get me pumped for anything LOL, in fact I tend to get less pumped after watching them, it's like something clicks in my head that says nah.
Like commercials, I've never laughed and/or shared a commercial with someone, or talked about them to people, feel like I'm being a moron spreading their greedy little ploy just like they want, after they spent all that money on commercials.
"omg lol did u see that commercial the other day so funn-e lol" just bothers me.
Give it a try man, at least watch a few episodes or/songs before you rag on something.
I'll start watching BB again if you start watching Boardwalk Empire.
Not sure what to think if that's coming from you...
Says the one trying to put down a show they've never seen and the entire audience by calling them "simple minded"
Episode last night
-5.9 million viewers.
-9.7 rating on IGN
-9.1 rating on IMDB
Fifth season on Metacritic has a 99, fourth a 96, third and second in the 80's and the first is a 74.
I personally wasn't ragging on it haha, I was just saying commercials/promos/trailers are getting more and more awful, in a relative half response to Gabrantus saying "Sorry, that's just how trailers are. It's all about how stylishly and rhetorically you can set your stuff to evoke hype."
And that one was the one I noticed ;3 but I was watching a house for a week with no internet and was watching TV most of the day passing time, Elysium, the other wannabe sci-fi one, and Olympus has Fallen were all between every commercial break, and they were sooo awwwwfuuuul, the trailers. So predictable. The formulas people use for trailers are so unappealing. I mean they all start with the typical "In a world..." etc which is just to be expected, and then they chase through a montage of pointless scenes that have nothing to do with the movie's plot but say "Hey. This is intense, listen to the music" and then right when the music ends BAM awful 'clever' one liner and then "MOVIE NAME" RATED BLAH, IN THEATERS WHENEVER THE HELL IT IS
Well, without ignoring the fact the the majority if the world's population is simple minded, your "statistics" doesn't really prove anything. Remember that people still believe in the human-induced Global warming.
Also >implying any of those sites are trustworthy when it comes to rating. The same sites that gave a 7.7 to Metro: Last Light.
gg Linkzor.
The trailer was like that, however, the real thing you should watch is the intro for each season, they're epic. Here's the one for the first one.
