The pearls were just something Percy was given by a friend of his dad and he didn't even touch them until he needed to escape Hades' lair. Yet in the movie the whole plot seemed to ****ing become about finding the pearls. Thanks, movie adaptation.

I do not see how that is healthier at all. It seems really insulting to God, to be honest.
