Im used to playing Horde, but leveled a Alliance recently.
Unless people hide somewhere and use some other channel instead of Global im sure this ratio is completely wrong.

Major issues finding, groups, dungeons whatever at Alliance side

I think the ratios are at around 65% Horde, 35% Alliance, not even kidding.

Anybody can confirm? like devs etc. ratio that is said on the website is completely wrong. 100% sure of that

And where is the data that makes you know its wrong?
Amount of spam on global, bq queue length, ah prices?

Experience in global chat, visual amount of players, raids etc.

Back when i was Horde i remember hearing people say Alliance gets instant BG queues, it seems the only thing they do is PVP and possibly because of fewer people, horde groups are stuck in queue (because theres too many) versus Alliance, when theres enough you group.
But this is just speculation of course.

Im just genuinely curious about the actual ratios, i know for fact it cant be right

I play both horde and alliance also and I have a much easier time doing BG's, dungeons, and raids on ally than I do on horde. There are a ton of alliance players. I think the ratio they stated is pretty close if not accurate.

The website is a fact though, all the data is there for the admins to update it with. Although the page is not updated all the time, the information isn't really out of date.

Theres no way it is correct. i am 100% sure. All i want to know is how much the difference is nowadays and how it would get fixed.

If alliances know what they are missing out even more of them will come to Horde (like already happened)

There is no unbalance.. seriously.

Are you logging in at peak time, are you actually doing something other than sitting in global (FYI you have to join global, its optional, not everyone sits there ans uses it). Have you sat in a BG que? Have you checked the arena ladder (looks pretty Horde/Alliance balanced to me).

When it comes to pvp playerbase, the ratio is something 70% Horde, 30% Alliance. No kidding. Wouldn't be surprised if it's even worse. The amount of Alliance pvp'ers nicely correlates with quality of their BGs :D

I can't comment on the overall status of population though.

Its the same with PVE, try gearing up a alliance character without people boosting you, youll never find a group unless you start at 360 ilvl + with created gear.

Thats why i LOL at people saying otherwise, i just want to see facts.

And you dont need to have a lot of data to find out alliance always get instant queues in bgs while horde waits 5-10+ mins everytime. We cant say hordes play bgs more frequently because its:
1) Statistically impossible
2) If it was possible that the two factions participate in pvp with different frequency, it would be alliance who is more active in PVP. And thats because of HUMAN race.

Its pretty obvious to any1 who plays on Sarg for some time. Horde is generally considered better/more active at pve, mainly because of few renowned and excelling guilds, so surely that draws some people. At the same time alliance draws A LOT of silly pvpers who hope for becoming arena hero by rerolling to human. I mean really, its extremely common on Sarg, and prolly everywhere else. Right now the huge majority of scrubs who have been spending entire months sitting in Durotar, bragging, quarelling and insulting others moved to alliance, which i find pretty positive.


For the needs of this topic, you dont really need to be data analyst with whole books of statstics to say something about general situation on server.

btw, that faction ratio information from "information" link on the main page hasn't been updated for a long time.
