Server location

I am having high latency while playing this server. Where is the server located? I'm EU btw

All Molten realms are hosted in Europe.

I think the latency is because large amount of people are playing on this server so they can't really handle it.

Well, I don't live in EU and my latency is around 350ms, which is very playable. I even solo'd Thrall at Orgrimmar!

But owell, that's now, there's no queues going.

I remember when I first came to molten, right after Ragnaros was opened, and apparently it was hosted in the US at one point, because I used to have 60-100 ms. But now that you guys put them in some third world country, most of the US players I have spoken to sit around 200-400 average. :(

Now I know for sure the forums is where I know you from! But my average is ~300 ms as well and I can assure you that there is an enormous advantage in PVP for people who are in the 50-150 ms range. As my main is a warrior, I notice the difference the most there. You go try and shield bash a fully geared holy paladin casting a flash of light when you start with 2h equipped. Getting through the GCD of switching weapons and then interrupting is nearly impossible, even if you start at the beginning of the cast. You pretty much have to equip the shield before they even cast to interrupt. I have played other servers where my latency was ~100 and I could interrupt no problem whatsoever. All other classes can cast their interrupt and use only 1 GCD, so you won't even notice it on those. Anyway, I just felt like ranting a little bit.

Currently i have 5k ms and about 2 others in the guild can't login/have same issues, whereas others are fine. We are all EU based.

I, too, am lagging horribly bad. Every now and then I come on and see some global talk before I DC, and it seems like everything is normal on their side.

I was going to post here about what happened to my ms during peak times. I was having a latency of 500~850, at Orgrimmar hidden and at AV fighting. Right now I have 400, leveling eng so I can boost in case I get outnumbered in Orgrimmar!

I feel a little delay, caused by the high latency, which makes PvP a lil harder for obvious reasons. It isn't anything like the old delays the realms had, with 100ms latency and 3 seconds to cast. This time it is caused by the latency.

I asked a friend that lives in EU about his latency. He said he has 350ms.

In the evenings it often gets up to 350+ *average*.

I specify "average" because with Quartz I measure spikes up to 800-900 ms which are quite annoying.

On the other hand, Lordaeron has a considerably lower latency for me, 100-150ms, but I don't play there anymore...bummer!

My connection is alright, all other games and services work well.
Not an ISP issue, AFAIK.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with high ping, live far from Europe and used to play with 390 - 420 ms which was sort of fine for me but now I'm lucky if I get 500.

Here in venice i get way lower than what you get. Between 100\150

Best latency i ever had was 300, but that was when ragnaros was on us server. Now my latency is around 550 lowest, but most of the time it's around 700 but still playable lol.:)

i am have similar problem, latency is going crazy some times 1k some times 2---3k and even going to 10k. but the weird thing is that it is on ragnaros, when i log on sargeras for example all is good and i tested in another 3.3.5 server and all was ok with latency so dont know what is going on but seens like it is a problem form the server side and it is sad because it becomes unplayable almost all day. only around 4 am server time things goes better that is the time with less players online in server.

Only advise i can give to people having this issue is test in another servers to see how it is going on .

btw they are deleting all post like this so this dont gona be here for too long
