these are BIS(obviously stands for Best In Slot) axes, any more questions ?
one more thing .. that 4% .. could you please provide screenshots of procs (skada / recount data please) ?
More like 4% from each proc average (since shadow proc doesn't benefit from mastery and is lower).
As you can see from crits rng wasn't really generous, usually it's better than this, and with some luck flame/iceblast reaches as much as 8% dmg done.
say you had only 1 of them. in what slot would you put it?
the answer is pretty much obvious for most dual-wield classes, as they always use their strongest weapon in the mainhand. since shamans strongest attack is completly offhand bases, i wonder tho if "strongest weapon in the OH" wouldnt be the way to go.
I saw most shamans on retail putting this weapon as OH when they had only 1 No'kaled the elements of death but since this weapon should stack with our mastery, it is better to have 2 No'kaled.
you must always use stronger weapon in your offhand, as your Lavalash'es damage is completely depending on your OH weapon speed / damage.
example - i use s11t2 (410) weapon in my OH for lavalash'es boost, and no'kaled (403 one, cuz there were no 416 ones in december) in MH.
two of these babies are simply epic .. also is a reason why many people qq's on "OP" enha shamans - are these axes.
tho nabz still haven't met a rogue with both legendaries, bone link, and vial, which is a 2 second opener fight.
No, you shouldn't always use your strongest weapon in your OH.
SS, white attacks and windfury all hit harder when you equip it in MH. The damage from these attacks are more significant than the extra LL damage you would get from wielding it in OH (everything else hits 50% less).
This has been discussed and tested over and over again on retail. The situation is most likely the same on Molten.
Assuming No''Kaleds here function like they do on retail, then there is no ICD (people have reported simultaneous procs, procs within a few seconds of each other, etc.). which means DWing two No'Kaleds is always better than wielding one.
And Cytolysis is right, the better weapon goes in the mainhand. Lava Lash is the only ability that benefits directly from off-hand power and it's on a 10-second cooldown. You have many other abilities with shorter CDs that benefit from MH power, so the way it adds up, MH power is more important.
dont take this personal but "has been tested over and over again on retail" has proved to be next to meaningsless when it comes to molten many times. i have asked that question even tho i knew most sources for retail said "use it in the MH because windfury > lavalash".
but having in mind that on molten lavalash is our #1 dps ability, may it due to a bug or whatever, the question cannot easily be answered with "use it in the MH because retail sources say so". i wouldnt be suprised if it was "MH > OH" on retail, but "OH > MH" on molten.
Lava Lash always being our #1 dps ability is false and I have already proven this in the Enhancement Shaman discussion thread. The reason why it's either second or first is likely dependent on the amount of hit the player is sacrificing for mastery (more mastery = bigger LL, more hit = less melee misses). And whether you are able to stick to the boss (less movement gives you more opportunity to melee hit). In my case melee is very often first in dps. There are tons of retail stats which show LL as 1st in the dps list as well, stop bringing this back up.
Anyway, instead of just mindlessly arguing, just test it yourself. I did 1k more dps with the stronger axe in MH (while only wearing 2 axes) and had a 2k dps difference with the rest of my gear on.
the question is not wether or not Lavalash is the strongest attack, the question is wether or not it is stronger than Windfury.
