Ahh Chillblains.... Pft been playing MOP so long I forgot that it's something cata players use. We don't use it on Mists since we have Asphyxiate. 30s CD stun is just OP.

I think Obliterate is useful still. Just imagine the Frost Strikes + Obliterate burst :P. HB & NS isn't as bursty. Note that Frost Strike might hit as hard as Oblit, but thats a runic dump. HB & NS are consuming runes.
Yh true, but its not as effective for some people who don't actually know how to use it correctly.
LOL no.
Fallen Crusader.
Those who say obliterate hit less than frost strike is because they dont spec and glyph for obli.
My obli still hits harder than frost strike even though i stack mastery and my mastery trinket proc (on cloth and leather).
so yeah, one of the reasons I play frost is for big crits.
35k obli + a couple of 25k frost strike is awesome burst.
Yes but what you don't understand is your using 1F1U on an ability which does less damage than the combined pressure a Necro+Howling is going to do.
How is crap necro absorb + crap howling blast damage is bigger pressure than 35k crit from Obliterate? Which is like 25% target's hp
Its beyond me why you assume I dont know about that.
Im only using obli on KM proc for 100% crit, and only on clothie and leather.
Its 1 global v 2 globals.
It is awesome damage, not to mention it could proc free HB.
And make frost less boring cause it adds more complexity lol.
Imo frost is a personal play style.
One uses obli and others don't.
I'm playing unholy, and sometimes I feel it's boring and I switch back to frost.
All with all, it's personal.. every class, spec, etc..
Btw it's jyxx, it's sQyned saying it ;) so be nice to me :P
I take glyph of dark succor over hungering cold, mabey if it was srill instant cast, but the healing after all those killing blows keeps me alive :) also dark succor procs from death pacting your ghoul=more healing
Btw vs a stoneclawed shammy or a bubbled priest freeze em and necro away
I have a question regarding weapons:
Two hand frost with Gurthalak vs dual-wield with 2x No'Kaled or 2x Souldrinker
Which is the best weapon?
How is dual-wield frost compared to two hand in terms of pvp.
I know that necrotic strike hits harder with two hand but has dual-wield also a benefit in pvp?
If your playing Frost in PvP you will need all the resilience you can get your hand on, so the actual weapon you will need is a 2h Cata Elite weapon.
No'Kalads are not a PvP DK weapon we have no use for Agi and the proc on it only Icy Blast scales with mastery and its not worth it at all unless you are DW Masterfrost PvE, and Souldrinkers are questionable for PvE anyway, since BIS for Forst in pvE are Hand of Morchok. Since Frost DK in PvE is heavenly reliant on Mastery as their main stat.
Resilience gives lower benefit the more you have.
When u have over 4000 resilience the additional 366 resilience from 2h cata elite will give u only 2,6% damage reduction.
Because of that i think its arguable to use one or two pve items for more damage but slightly less damage reduction.
What about 2x Souldrinker for pvp or is dual-wield frost not viable in pvp?
