Yeah, well, guess what. Don't have one of those. Long-distance relationship drama and me getting constantly hurt or heartbroken is not worth hoping and praying that person will be nice and give me something. Especially when I feel extremely bad asking for anything at all (it's how I was raised).

I don't know much about WOW but in all other MMOs that I played, the most famous players were the PVPers and the PKers. Also the most famous clans were the strong PVP clans.

famous PKers in WoW - nah, I don't think so (if you are talking about "standard" PK who kill players e.g. in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, not on BG or Arenas)

Yes, I'm still bummed that there is no PK system and no free for all PVP in WOW. But I suppose the PVP between factions is good enough.

There are servers that use mods so that all players can kill each other no matter which fraction they are (making party or raid with others make you "friendly" to them automatically) although, they are not so famous and to be honest i think that it do not work well in WoW. L2 would be much better for this:)

I won't rant a lot but same thing happened to me, long distance relationships are usually more of great male/female friendships, the best ones you can get. For a guy and a girl to be great friends IRL is impossible without physical attraction (especially from the male side, they are 99% of the time attracted to you, except they are gay). Though it can work in some cases, if the connection is strong (but at the end one has to move to the other and try to live together eventually IRL).

As for the giving part, to me my friends are everything. I give them more than I have even, since I don't need much. I feel 20x time more happy if I do something for a friend and he ends up happy than buying myself something since I barely find pleasure in it. You can ask me or wait for me to do it myself, makes little difference. I just don't like greedy people, but those are never my friends. Plus I never ask for nothing in return, just for your friendship loyalty, nor do I ever mention it again since I hate when people do something for you then bring it up later to make you feel worse.
