I did. Until I found out if you don't have connections, you might as well drop out of school and work any minimum wage job because audio engineering doesn't offer much if you don't have connections or extreme luck on your side.

You pretty much have to build a reputation of being damn good if you want to be incredibly successful. And even that requires a lot of luck. There are only a handful of engineers that work for all celebrities and they're not going anywhere any time soon.

So it's just a hobby for you, then? I always thought you'd make some sort of career out of it.

I would love for it to become a career. I wouldn't even need to be a DJ or someone who performs. I would love to produce music for movies or games. Or anything. As long as I'm getting paid to produce music. I'll be happy.

TL;DR : That was an uninteresting story.. but I am too lazy to make breakfast so I'd rather pretend to be busy on my laptop...

Actually, the story brought back some memories of an ex girlfriend of mine. I had no clue she played games, "games" being like 4 or something. But I was at her place and her laptop was running, when I took a look she was playing WoW. Was like "hey, you play this?" and she started telling me about her char and stuff (she was a priest). She loved pvp (mostly BG's) and did a little pve, so I asked her if she wanted to play together some day. Was a fun experience, gotta admit that.

Plus, it was pretty refreshing. Most of the girls I know IRL actually hate gaming, and 2 of them think WoW is a gore filled egoshooter.

You know what the hardest thing about producing electronic music is? You can write the most beautiful symphony ever in FL Studio and it'll sound like pure ****ing garbage if you don't know how to EQ or master it. Especially if you're not using super high end VST's and samples.

I do not have the ear for proper EQing or mastering. I have over a hundred projects and a lot of them are actually very good but they sound like they were made using cheap synthesizers/VST's. And the only way I can fix that is by learning how to EQ properly and to master.

I should just try to get signed to any **** label so they can get their audio guy to master my **** for free. At least I would have that done and over with and my songs would sound somewhat professional.

It's so discouraging loading this HUGE project that you've worked weeks on and it sounds like it was done using the cheapest sounds and instruments possible. Sound design is also a real ****ing **** to learn. The **** Dubstep artists like Excision create is just jaw dropping difficult and I can't even begin to comprehend how they do what they do.

Yo man check seamless tutorials on net,so far they are awesome and that guy shows you literally everything.I think you will like it from sound design to producing.Best fl channel so far on youtube.Cheers!!

Unrelated, I met a lolita girl today. I was in the station waiting for the subway and she just sat there lonely. She seemed nice so I simply got in conversation with her. Glad I did, we also exchanged numbers.

Speaking of picking up girls.. I had this "gamer girl" in class last year... I asked her what does she play and she said "everything I(she) like".. I said "Ok.. would you like to hang out and play something sometime?", she said "yes" so we exchanged skypes. That night we planned on playing something, so I ask her again "What do you want to play?" and she says "I don't know, up to you". Went through a big suggestions list and at the end she said "Nah... I only play Minecraft". (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

I just tried the WoD PTR and well.....

The new models are better than I actually anticipated lol. It's hard to explain but when you login you immediately notice they changed pretty much every animation. It's pretty obvious, especially when you are running. It looks more "natural". Most spell animations have been reworked as well.

Anyways here are a few screenshots.






You can pretty much judge by yourself.
There is also an option to turn the new models off but only an ***** would do that lol.
