Unrelated, is anyone here into skating? How much should I be willing to pay for a skateboard if I'm a beginner? I don't want to, like, pay Ôé¼400 for one entry level skate, you feel me?

i would suggest going to your local skate shop and stating that you wanna start skating ~_~ they will probably give you a complete board at the Ôé¼ 80-100 range :) when your deck breaks you can replace the deck while keeping the rest :) that's what i will suggest at least :|

In which universe is a skateboard €10? I searched far and wide and the cheapest I could find was €89. Anyway I guess I'll have to settle for an €80-100 at most.
Also, I plan to take it slow, just cruising around first. I don't need a helm and pads just for that right? It would make me took too silly.

They're just as big as a skateboard and they're actually very fun to ride. But they require a tad bit more balance than your average skateboard and longboard.

Actually... (incoming nerd, but then again this may be wrong) bench pressing a human is a lot tougher than weights.

A weighted bar has a near-perfect center balance, which is the center of mass.

A human's center of mass is not straight at the middle (afaik, the torso + head are heavier than the legs). Also, the person being lifted has to tense all their muscles (if we're talking bench pressing).
