Hi. I'm new in this server, and Im spanish guy, but i need to know if survival hunters are "nerf??? I've never seen a sv hunt, and for this reason I ask u. I don't know what I'll do, cause Im like so much rogue, he's similar to hunter, but I come from Official wow, where I was hunter... please, give me ur opinion about this, im in Lordaeron... rogue or better hunter (if survival doesn't nerf )

sv hunter is fine, it is just majority of players who cannot into SV, thats why it is underrated here

Only underrated. Mmm... like 9 month ago the surv was epic, because you could use magic base weapon and do tons of damage (20k some shots, lol). I use MM or BM, because the items and gems are compatibles, survi is more outlayer.

It has nothing to do with skill. MM > survival with BiS gear. No matter what rotation you do, survival isn't as good of a spec as marksmanship. It was like that on retail ('official wow') as well, survival used to be better with lower gear levels, but with the introduction of all the ArP on gear, MM started dominating all the dps charts. Survival can be as good as MM when you have about 5k gs, but when you get better gear, MM is severely superior. I played all specs with BiS gear and no spec came close to MM.

totally agree with Xypher, skill wont help you, Survival can work only vs complete noobish enemies who cant dispell. In arena vs dispellers your damage will be joke. Only option is try double dps cleave but whats point if mm has x3 bursting damage of survival. I was highest rated surv on lordaeron at that time, however i was using spellpower abuse which lead me to ban for 30 days. yes with spellpower surv was better, but even than was no mach for MM, so basically i was playing for fun and trolling ppl with spellpower. I heard now scaling is fixed so you can forget about that spec.

When I played on Lordaeron there was one surv guy on ally side, Pova. He was good.
