Should just shame them here on the forums or something, or try and get them blacklisted from all the guilds...

You really don't need any high ilvl gear to farm your mats. Just learn a gather prof. to farm some mats which could be sold to other players on the AH.
For example :
- mining , blacksmith and jewelcrafters need ores/bars for making items and level their professions.
- herbalism , alchemy need herbs to create potions,flask etc etc
- skinning , leatherworkers need hides/leather to create gear.
And ofcourse don't forget daily quest(s) they reward you with a daily amount of gold.
And try to find a worker when you want them to make some gear, buying from auctionhouse is Not the cheapest way because people really like to overprice items.

A huge amount of people say these things, and they do it right in global...nobody cares, hating females is the cool thing atm.
