just wanted to confirm one more time ;)
Of course. Shadowmourne isn't the most balanced thing in the game. The smaller number of people using it, the better the gameplay. Not like my opinion matters though. But it is what it is.
thats why, no one from outside loves our community. seeing that someone is fuc**d and in trouble, but no willing to help, for own advantage.
You guys did not say Shadowmourne will be returning "many times". That is a joke, honestly.
And hours after the relaunch of SM, it is already out of hand. Once again PVP is imbalanced, and people who recieved it in January dont even have the opportunity to get it back after getting 40 days of playtime, myself included.
Lottery page is now open, you can send your prizes back to a new character now, if you were a winner in the past.
Im sorry, but the way that Shadowmourne & coins reset was handled is bull**** quite honestly.
Per Kaer's February 1st update - He said this:
"We are working to provide an optimal solution
****before end of February***
where premium members would have the possibility to acquire these items in a balanced fashion while taking into consideration that regular (non-donor) community is undergeared and we don't want our population to get roflstomped, especially thousands equipped with heirlooms. We are open and ready for discussions on this subject to help us come up with good decisions in a difficult situation."
Then, in the March 1st update:
• What is the news about Shadowmourne?
****No release date has been discussed just yet.****
Seven days later, in a sudden move, Shadowmourne is made available without any notice.
So we have a limited time in which coins must be used - 45 days from day of account activation. On day 36 - with no official notice of when Shadowmourne will be released, I (and many others) have assumed that it will be delayed until after coins reset. We expected this and therefore flushed all our remaining coins into stuff we didn't want nearly as much as the legendaries we worked hard to play for and donate for.
This whole situation was just handled very poorly and feels like the sleight of hand bull**** that Hermes jacked us around with. Granted, I'm very happy to have Kaer back and some changes that have been implemented, but this doesn't feel fair for those who had the legendaries to begin with, and didn't have accurate information with which to plan by.
If I were an isolated case, then I'm an *****, but sadly, all of the tickets coming in stating that we were in the dark about SM release date and the impending coins reset shows that this was a prevalent understanding in the community.
Molten should at least own up to that for the sake of keeping good reputation with it's community like it's aim has been.

I also made about 3 or 4 other posts pertaining to these dates.
This post was also quoted approximately 100 times in numerous threads by numerous members.
Kaer has only been saying what I gave him updates on related to the marketplace/shadowmourne/etc as it's my department, if something came across wrong then it's not his fault but my own, I rarely make "official" announcements now so I should take the flak, since I posted random replies in random threads with dates.
Um...

I'm not sure as to how Kaer understood the question, because it may simply be out of context and he may have understood it as just being the "normal" purchase (which is still unavailable). Regardless, this was done well before 7 days they are just spread out in the forums AFAIK answering to the plethora of threads made on the matter, unfortunately some where Support Q/A so those tended to be purged quickly or get lost.
So making the announcement on the 4th page of a random Support & Q&A thread & reiterating it on the 3rd post of a random general discussion thread is sufficient for an announcement this size? I'm sorry but you and I know hat wasn't handled properly. As much as I try to check the forums for information, I and many others in the community didn't catch these obscure but very valuable tidbits of information. If a person is willing to donate 150 coins worth of their money for an in-game item, it most certainly deserves more than obscure forum posts.
Relying on the hearsay of other's information of what is said in forum posts from GM's is why we're having this problem to begin with.
Edifice, make this right.
As you should have understood from my post, I know posting in random threads was not an official announcement, but it cannot be corrected now, I don't make announcements.
As for making things right, i'm not sure what you expect to be made right, people using their coins and now expect to be refunded (misbuy claim?) the coins and items removed so they can pick up their shadowmourne again, VERSUS donating (again) for the item? I don't get it... we're offering shadowmourne for the same price as your previous purchases of it, without you having to donate...again.
I don't know what else you want from me?
Who are we to deny shadowmourne to those who payed for it, for the same price they payed initially.
The solution to this is simple.
Let the people and only the people who had owned Shadowmourne before be able to refund just the amount of coins needed to resend their Legendaries. This is a limited amount of people and doesn't flood the market with anymore SM's now than there should be. I know Smyth has tons of tickets to sort through, but seeing who owned them before is a quick search for you.
Donations will open and legendaries will be donated for then, sure. But make this right for those who had already owned them and didn't have correct information.
Again I just want to confirm. How about those who had shadowmourne before but decided to make a new toon on their 2nd account? Is there any possible way that we can still obtain it on our 2nd account through verifying that we had history of shadowmourne? I hope this question get answered before coin wipes.
Yes, the issue is some of us flushed our coins under a before-hand 30 day window of reset before finding out that the window would be extended to 45 days. Now we're out of the 7 day misbuy period with items sent due to information constantly changing.
