i was watching hyrdramists stream yesterday, he was playing with on his alt priest on 2100 mmr with green/hairloom gear. didnt have a single epic piece. ofc he lost some games but he was doing pretty fkin good with like no gear

Nice comparison, you do know all items automatically get upgraded to 660 gear on live? That's 30 ilvls below top gear, which is 690. The difference between s13 (496) and s14 (522) is 26 ilvls, which is almost as much as Hydra's difference during his stream yesterday. Hydra's a 3.2k player, he was playing with pshero (2.9k) and some mage I didn't know. Both the mage and the rogue were fully geared, only Hydra was 30 levels below BiS gear. They play main team at 2.8k+ mmr together and played at 2.1k mmr yesterday cause of the gear difference (that and pshero is overrated). The gear difference does matter, it's naive claiming it doesn't, it's the entire point of the RPG gametype, better gear equals better performance.

True, but in a few weeks when people get grievous weapons and trinkets + some other pieces, its gonna even out so yeah. You can just play arenas for fun for some time until you get your gear, then you can start playing for rating. Ive always played like that on molten, back when i was playing cata. Me and my friend used to play for fun until we got our gear, and then we played more seriously.

meanwhile people have to get ****ed on every single bg/arena... yeah that's the best answer "deal with it" when sometimes things are wrong and the ones in charge to do something better they wont :D because it seems they dont care

it's "only" 2 months of everyday loses/****ed over on arenas just fellas :D

Well then, how about you don't play arena until you have obtained better gear? I certainly won't. But let me tell you this much: when I was full tyrannical, I fought some full grievious players and got a warrior for instance (mirror match) to about 40% on average. Then I got grievous shoulders and spent some of my last coins on the 2h weapon (warrior) and now I can beat full grievious opponents. I'm at a disadvantage, but the weapon makes the greatest difference.
In three to four weeks - when people will have enough season-cp to buy their weapons - nobody will gear faceroll anyone anymore. Except for ungeared lowbie chars, which will be fun to play due to molten not releasing any craftable malevolent gear.

You can just play arenas for fun for some time until you get your gear, then you can start playing for rating.

They were hotfixed, at least the one my friends lock had is fixed.

Just pmed a PvE Hero and he said they are still perma proccing. + they do not get scaled down in arenas. Welp what can I say, Molten likes PvE.

Imo they shouldn't count this as a season once they adress all major issues and then start the season.


**** spring season if we have 100% proccing trinkets....I'd rather wait it out and start in the summer season.
