Considering that on the MoP server, they don't even have isle of thunder up anymore, I have little faith in a WoD server being any good here.
i agree they shouldn't even be messing with a wod server right now, the only current expac that molten has that i feel to be better than other private servers is their wotlk one. there are so many [as in, more than 1 or 2] pvt servers on cata and mop that are far less buggy than here. molten just has the numbers/advertisement, but far from superior gameplay. adding wod to the mix will just make the already dreadfully slow progress of warmane worse. i wouldn't be surprised if after all these years, that sword spec talent was still bugged on warrs making glorenzelg better than shadowmourne. all 3 expacs have a large number of bugs, mop being the clear winner of worst one. current issue shouldn't be whether warmane will release wod or not, or even when, current issue is that it's already under development and it shouldn't be. work is already spread thin, and either the staff here isn't that good or their use isn't being utilized properly seeing as how at least 2 of the previously mentioned servers are fixed by only 1 person and are still less bugged. i had hopes that the bug fixing would be a little better with all the praise malaco has been given, but i see no difference. but who knows, maybe warmane just pooled a hella lot more of their resources than i would have expected into their wod project, which would at least explain the lack of fixes on the other expacs.
3 months or so ago, the development team changed completely. None of the old devs (except Green) are here any longer. I don't suppose you noticed that? There has been a lot more development since then, than there has ever been to a comparable amount of time in the last 2-3 years.
Temporarily. If you have so little faith that you can't even recognize that there is a reason for the portal not being available, then I wouldn't expect much more than that of you.
As much as I'd love to keep this thread open, it's not going to stay that way if all people can do in it is talk smack about the development team. Further posts to that effect will be removed, and you may get your posting privileges revoked and this thread closed.
WoD is not dangerous to warmane. And besides, have you guys ever considered that you don't even know what you want? It is already proven that female behavior is carried by male gamers, so considering such thing is by far a wrong thing to do.
Besides, we have been getting more and more updates. not even the entire community can keep up with the fixes by posting more bugs on the bugtracker. feel free to go and see for yourselves.
No need to be very worried about this WoD server, this Karabor Server is helping and being helped by Warmane.
They do NOT share their database (saw that on the forum, they are a bit "secure") but atleast I saw a confirmation that Warmane and Karabor will share spell fixes. And spell fixes are ALOT of things :)
I wouldn't feel the way I do, if informing the community didn't appear to be so low on the priority list.
So they are sort of teamed with AT/molten (warmane)?
Anyways, I dunno about WoD, for I've gotten use to MoP since I lost everything on Cata. I'd say Blizzard already knows about the number of private servers, they are just to busy to press the big red button. There are a lot of people who have WoD servers, some not so big. So unless Blizzard got bigger fish to fry, then I think we, and the other guys should be safe, probably for now. Retail players do complain, they use to complain about Molten in the past, they focused on Molten until that thread was closed, and some mod said something along he lines that they were already aware of Molten, and they mentioned some other private server as well.
My only worry is that WoD MAY hinder the progress of MoP and it's players. We too want dungeons open, the classic ones, we too want quests working, hackers out, things fixed, etc. I and a number of others do not want to be left in limbo, being lost in thought if anything had or was fixed or something like that.
It only appears that way to you because you don't understand the scope of things. If we could keep everyone informed about every detail that they would be interested in, then that'd be really great. Yet, that's not really possible, now is it.
Yes, you could call it a collaboration.
There are much more things to consider than just those who play Mists. We have two other expansions to take care of as well. These decisions definitely are not made lightly.
What do you think could be done to keep people informed about the progress made to the server? I'm not asking for every little detail. I'm sure there are others that share my viewpoint. Keeping those informed about the major points of progress would be wise, in my opinion. Obviously, you don't have the time to tell people every single little thing, but updating the dev log with pertinent information once in a while would be a decent start.
Aarena tournament developed and scripted WoD even before they merged with Molten, and they did pretty good til PTR.
Now with karabor and Molten uniting with arena tournament (script wise) will make the progress extremly faster, they are all focusin more to script the complexity of wod,as other expansion are a bit on the side with less staff scripting them.
Not everyone asked for WOD right now ,so you shouldn't complain about having too much expansions to deal with ,which causes less fixes. You should've keep wod fixing/scripting (in a secret) for a year minimum and then do us surprise with some working content. We all know how wod will looks like after seeing what is happening on mop.
I'd prefer to have just LK and Cata with the numbers of devs we have right now but fully working with old content.
Well lets just hope it wont be worse than current mop/cata.

Why do you want an Wod server, you lvl to 100, then you build 3 garrisons with toons, then you craft gear to all 3, then get alot of followers, in missions you get almost as good gear in missions, as you were doing raids, so you are running in Garrison all the time getting gear, i must say tBlizzard have simplyfied wow nowdays that it has being boring playing it, if its pvp:n your are after why not only take it from wod to panda, i think Blizzards amount of player will be much less if they dont make it liitle more harder to get gear and move then toons outside the Garrisons sometimes. My idea of wow isnt, running in a Garrison, and get the most i need from that. Its like Diablo 3, many with me wated for many years to play Diablo 3, long waiting time from Diablo 2 to 3, but you are being bored after 3 weeks play, you running around in almost the same places and killing mobbs and getting crap gear, and season in diablo, you are lvling faster then its fun :( , Blizzard need Wow, its their money maker game. But its my opinion about Wod. I think there are many people out there like getting good gear fast, without struggeling for them!
Imo the main reason why WoD is dangerous to warmane is that it will need developpers to turn their work to it, so the developpement of other expansions would slow down a lot.
Since blizzard skipped wc4 development. They had plans for more 10 years. I would like see wow2 would be way better. WoD exp is stupid idea, considering Pandaria/cata/wotlk not even close to blizzlike servers. Here exist so much things to fix.
Wod would be challange for whole warmane to fix it. Even cata not close to fixed realm. No to mention mop.
