This thread and various others show there are lots of people interested in the old content (old dungeons etc). So if we had a poll like that what would you expect to see? Since there has been strong support for the old you might see something like 3000 votes for end game, and 2500 votes for other or old content. But instead of proving your point it would do the opposite. I think based on what we've heard they are not working on any old stuff, so if 2500 votes came in saying some should be made available, then the management would have to consider a huge increase in work on those things over what they are doing now, even if it gains less than 50% on the poll. For this reason I doubt we'd ever have such a poll.
Scripting Priorities = Druid Talent Force of Nature..its been urgent case since 10 month ago omg
Im pretty sure u guys forget about it, coz 10 month and...still bugged
Why has your avatar not got a Pimp hat and cane like the premoltdown one...you disappoint :|
Anyway I actually feel bad for the Devs, one minute the content is released too slow, so they speed up process, which undoubtedly leads to the work not being 100% perfect so then kids cry about that (FC not on Map, Birds fly like ******s...etc), so the Dev's take a step back and get back to making each fix 100% perfect then 'omg its been 'x' amount of time and no update, wtf, u suck /cry'. The low IQ being proven is quite amusing really.
ANd thanks for all the work recently Green_Dev, very appreciated.
I've on Molten ever since the beginning of 2010, and im sad to admit that the pace of development was much, much faster back then. Wotlk felt like a dream for all those who just had quit retail and wanted to replay it, with all other things considered.
Cataclysm ofc, being prolly the most hated expac so far, was quite a let down (not because of how development was) but mostly due to it's rusty and unappealing content, but yes, development was mostly focused on the content of the said expac, leaving quite a loophole on stuff to do, besides the said boring content the expac had.
MoP on the other hand, seemed quite enjoyable on Retail (i've played it for around 3 months at the start of 5.4 while i played Cata here aswell), not only due to the implementation of new features such as Scenarios, Brawler's Guild and more open world stuff to do (ain't gonna mention battle pets, since i personally hated them).
Ik we just had a "Coup" a few months ago, and we're still trying to get back on our feet and get stuff established, but in my point of view, we need some focus on the things people want, since that each that passes, i see more and more peeps leaving Molten simply due to the lack of entertaining stuff to do.
At the moment i just find myself farming ToT with my guild, gearing up alts on ToES, and afking on Shrine or simply logging off. I'm not saying development should stop on the progressive content line, all im saying is that a itsy bitsy more of focus on more appealing content would certainly make the population charts peak asap.
And don't start me on the "old content and such" need re-scripts, etc. Theres a few other private servers out there, with not nearly 1/4 of the development we have, and they do have such content open, even if it's tank n' spank mostly.
Inb4 this thread is viewed as a "hate" thread or such, simply drop it. I'm not bashing anyone or Molten, nor do i intend to, this is simply constructive criticism.

-.-
Kek, kid pls. Made the terrible mistake of making a thread for such matter, when theres already this thread.
Waiting on the deletion of that thread, that's all.
Don't assume what age category I fall into when you have no idea who I am. And that thread got answered and locked, so no need to pay attention to this thread now do ya?^.^
The idea was to find proof for the assumption that end-game content is the most heavily supported priority on the server. Me and many others do not believe this to be the case, with more players preferring time be dedicated to class fixes (most important) and other fixes. It doesn't mean we don't want any end-game content to get scripted, but for the content to be scripted at a slower pace, with more resources devoted to other things us players would like fixed.
Of course, I could be wrong and maybe end-game content has more support than anything else. A poll would show this to be the case, and the subject would be at a rest.
Nonetheless, from what I've gathered, priorities are not for discussion, regardless of what us players would like to see. We can only hope end-game content is rushed through before we can see things such as farming, serpent riding, treasures, timeless isle, and other minor things.
So you agree, some time/effort should be put on old content. Almost all players do agree, but we think there is 0 time being spent on old content. I think part of the reason there has been such a push lately for things like old-content and mop scenarios is the population situation on Sargeras, and of course the level of involvement on the Horde side makes it worse. Players need items they can solo or do in very small groups so they have something to do. Battlegrounds are terribly one-sided so that is dead and raid/rdf queueing takes forever. So basically PvP and PvE are out, whats left? Stuff that can be solod. It was a great move by staff to release battle-pets. Lets hope more solo-able stuff is a priority so everyone can play the game.
The very purpose of this thread is so we can raise attention for content other than end-game raiding.
On a side note, at no point was I suggesting that the scripting pace is slow. In fact, it is highest I have ever seen it (I joined in April 2013, and remember how terrible 4.3.4 was at the start). What the discussion was to revolve around was if the devs were focusing on the right things.
We will soon have MSV hc released on MoP realms, with work starting on ToT hc after.
Is it possible that after we have scripted all the heroic raids, we don't just start scripting Seige of Orgrimmar, but take 3 months to get older content and world events working? Would be a great discussion to have...
Its useless and pointless to script old raid or dungeon... why? because all item drop from it is store in vote or coins shops. So there almost zero reason to do old content except for achievement or maybe tittle. So people get bored fast, want to farm raven lord? its already in coin shop, want to farm blue proto drake from uthgard pinnacle? is already in point shop, want to farm ashes of al'ar from tempest keep? is already on point shop, want to farm good transmorg item like citadel enforce claymore or bryntroll bone of arbiter from icecrown citadel? is already in point shop. So whats the point?. All item you need or want is already in marketplace, even end game raid drop like dragon soul , icc or ruby sanctum, [i bet when first boss of siege of ogrimar realese they will put heroic garrosh drop on coin shop] is all on marketplace. All you need to do is spent your money and your character will looks good with end game gear.
I still remember i farm raven lord on sethek halls for 123days and at 124 days it finally drop and i take screenshot of it , i feel so happy and proud not many people have raven lord and then suddenly warmane decide to put raven lord and that fiery raven lord [drop from fireland] in promotion vote point shop for limited time and in less than 2 days almost all player in ogrimmar walks with it. I feel betrayed whats the point of me farming 124 days you know you can only do sethek halls heroic once a day. Instead of fixing the dungeon or raid they just added the item in marketplace . Isnt that lazy?
So to answer op thread about scripting priority? they will script end game raid and few quest. They will never fix the whole long quest chain for example look at twilight highland , uldum, cloud serpend quest, and hyjal long quest up to molten front, they are all abandon. They will only script class and end raid. After they finish with throne of thunder they will work on siege of ogrimmar and after that finish they will announce Warlord of draenor is commming.

You obviously know very little about this topic. There are many reasons to do the old content, and none of it has anything to do with gear. So your whole post is pointless and a waste of time to read. And as far as scripting goes, these can be opened w/o scripting because the gear is worthless anyhow. Scripts can be added later at staffs convenience.
Reasons people like old dungeons/raids:
1.) The best content in the game is the old dungeons/raids. The absolute best WOW has to offer is closed.
2.) Nostalgia: It brings back fond memories of grinding these. And its quite refreshing to be able to walk through one that used to wipe 25 man groups all day long.
3.) There are no players to do big group things, this is another thing you can do alone or in small group.
And about 6 other items, but you get the point...
You obviously didn't finish read or didn't understand my post. While i agree with number 2 of yours. Reason why people wanna do old raid is because achievement and tittle [like King Slayer],gear[for TRANSMOG],yes nostalgia and maybe little curiosity for those who never try it. As i said mount and gear already in marketplace so its automatically eliminates half of reason for most people to do old raid/dung, and 90% people only do old dung/raid when they stuck or already max out with end raid gear, do you do old raid with green gear?. I'm not speaking for whole fanbase who wanna do old content. You understand that only "FEW" people who thinks like you just for nostalgia and best content, thats why nobody cares and GM knows few people like you not worth waste time with and script old content like icecrown citadel or trial of the crusader for cataclysm or mist of pandaria realm. What they care is vote=popularity=new player joining=more vote and donate. Who cares what few player wants about scripting old content.
Edit=I wanna add that some item give you all of that dungeon acvhievement. For example i buy cataclysm's edge from vote shop and i get Battle for mount hyjal achievement. So another reason why GM will most not likely script old content. GM do that because they know they will never script that dungeon so they attach the dungeon achievement with the gear.

There is no vote=popularity as there is no longer vote. The vote points are activity points to keep ppl logging in once per day. Many people do not care about transmog and neither do I. I just like to run through the old dungeons for the content, as do many people. I don't need them scripted, because scripted or not I kill the boss in 1 hit (no matter if i'm wearing green gear or not). Point is, many ppl asking for the old content for whatever reason. Those people know about vote points and choose to still want the old content. Explain that? I doubt there is anyone that thinks transmog is the most important thing, but many think the old content deserves some time (without scripting needed).
