:/ It's possible. Maybe it is a lot different on Frostwolf like it is on Neltharion? But.... hard to say, man. I haven't seen it for myself at all here on Sargeras, only normal Blazewing. Been camping for awhile now as well... I am just reporting from Pixie.

i know but yet we have to still study of when it spawns tho, i think the replacer has a spawn chance when the 8 hr blazewing (normal one) spawns. then we should kill the replacer then wait like 18 hrs to 24 hrs and bantha shall spawn, thats my other idea. its a bet. we are talking about a replacer thats similar to arcturis/skoll method, tho it is not actually the same :/ I wish u were there to see it patrol tho i proved thru the ss.

btw since u started ur bantha replacer camping, try searching the whole entire hyjal even those hills that we ALL never passed by like in those ss of me seeing it going thru the wall. if its not around then it have not spawned yet or timer was already started.

I spent half day in Hayal, camped more than 18 hrs and searched for this replacer one. (i saw batha got tamed and searched the replacer after 18 hrs) Nothing. Stayed there for more, saw only normal Blazewing. The one which stands in place. I think it was just an accident u killed blazewing and than Banthalos spawned. I think there is no method.
On Sargeras Banthalos is spawning more than on other realms. Why? On Neltharion it is from 8 to ... Random amount of days.
I camp in hayal for long time, with no breaks. When I am offline there is always someone. On Neltharion. Banthalos spawned last 4 times after 8 or 7 days he got tamed, also interesting fact: Ghostcrawler always spawned 5-7 hrs before Banthalos spawned. Always the same day. Accidentaly 4 times? I dont think so.
Yesterday guy got Ghostcrawler, then Banthalos spawned after 5 hrs in front of my face :)
Sadly didn't get it because of one jerk. Now I am camping again. Will try to investigate any method :P but for now I still think it's random. No replacer or smth.

If you will know any facts share it. I will try to check it :) maybe it's more than 18 hrs, I guess. I was like +20 and saw nothing. Idk for now. Hope GMs will give us any hints :D

It is still hard to say exactly whether it is myth or truth, in my opinion. While it is logical that the Blazewing affects it, but it hasn't been done consecutively enough times to really know 100% that it is proven at all. Larsein is right, it easily could've been complete coincidence that Bantha spawned after this theory was made... Especially since it took and extra hour and random amount of minutes to spawn. That kind of makes it 'eh' for me, but I suppose it could also be 18-24 hours (it's just a little strange it wouldn't at least be a set amount of time). Though it is very hard to say with only one recent tested spawn so far.

There have been 4 normal Blazewings since the last Bantha and no strange one flying or spawning off timer that I know of. I do believe Pixie that there have been two Blazewings, but it's still too early to be sure they are connected.

Also, it seems right now on Sargeras, Bantha is spawning every three days, more or less. The last Bantha seemed to be true to that timer still.

So I think we should keep testing and see if this really is true or not. It would be great if it is because it'd make Bantha much easier, but if not... oh well. Back to the old grind, right? I will let you guys know what happens with him in the next few days in Sargeras.

oh dont worry im also doubtful like u and larsein. I also thinking the same as u guys but since i seen this replacer like 3 times it got me motivated to study it. Though theres gotta be a reason why this weird blazewing spawned and there were 2 of em, apart from mop since spirit beasts and some mobs can be duplicated after a server crash, in cata it doesnt duplicate u will only spot less of em, like karoma and blazewing in cata. but this blazewing that was patroling, it didnt came from a server crash and thats very odd too. Dont worry, im with u guys here so i shall make the confirmation to 80% until i can confirm it affects the timer or not.

Remember that this one we are dealing with, isnt the same method like arc/skoll which this is what WE are thinking.

man i wish the GMs can give us hints instead of us forcing them to reveal the spawn timer, ik that they wont tell us but a hint would be a bit helpful, no one here is never gonna figure WHAT exactly is banthalos timer, its completly impossible i studied bantha ever since they scripted it and YET i can find its ACTUAL timer tho i gave the timer from the least i saw and know. We just post these timers about banthalos cuz thats how we see it doesnt mean its actually its timer.

tho i got a great idea to make them reveal the timer. I think you should do everything to know his timer. His mop and cata timers :D or any hints. Because on Mop he is easier while on Neltharion for example its pain. Hope we will recieve any info or hints at least :D

i've been camping magria for around 15 days, and banthalos around 2 weeks i NEVER saw such thing :D i saw only normal one, and he's sitting on the ground at his "usual" spot
