Realm Transfers from Sargeras to Frostwolf

Don't worry about that, same thing happened to me, i just cancel it and relogged, and hop my char got renamed :D

ok , i had 4 characters transferred to FW.

i had 3 characters on FW allready to reserve names.

after the chars transfered to FW i deleted the "old" character so i could have my same name.
but.....
it still says my cahracter is flagged for rename. (wich is weird cuz i was the owner of the other character with that name (wich i deleted)
and if i try to rename it ... it keeps hanging on : renaming character ....
and nothing .

so .. i cant enter the server with my transferred characters. wich totally sux.

any ideas as to why this is ?

If you´re flagged for rename you can´t choose the name you had. You should delete that "old" char before transfer.

So in the mean time someone who gets the transfer before my char can use my char's name. Great.

I've kinda figured it out.... it's like what Elizs said... trying re-logging after you renamed your character, but if the name doesn't show after that, it means that name has been taken. So you just have to come up with another character name

Yea, just go create a new character with desired name to see if it si available. If it is, then you should have no problem with renaming your transfered character.

No, it won't, I was playing on Sargeras while my char was being transferred and everything was ok

Suggestion :
After Sargeras has been deleted flag all characters in Frostwolf for a name change and offer everyone 1 free name change. This way players who transfer from Sargeras has a fair chance to get some decent names. Also if u can, clear out all those lvl1 toons with saved names. Every single name with a proper spelling has been taken. Tbh it sucks for players from sargeras who already made characters twice after molten got wiped.
