Most people rolled on a MoP server because they were bored of Cata.
I would love to be able to solo LK (something that we cannot do in Cata or LK obviously).
I would love to be able to go for Frost Wyrm achievements, etc.
These things are not soloable in Cata, and as such MoP adds this extra level of appeal for older content.
What are you talking about? Spine of deathwing bloods fixed more than month ago. As for cata low-level dungeons they on our list as well, i already almost finished refactoring of deadmines, so old bugs would be fixed (and new appear :D)? events would be corrected and normal mod opened. Same would be done with shadowfang keep. As soon all end-game dungeons&raids would be opened bugfixes for actual content and all content will be mixed in every update.
The biggest loss I feel having moved to MoP is that green_dev only scripts Cata </3
green come fix MoP for us too! :(
Mop have enough devs already. I would never left cata to other exp until it's not finished and people play on it. The project should be done. I don't like to have unfinished projects...
You have a huge fanbase btw, in case you never knew :)

As for this i can say, that old raids have lower priority than dungeons for example. First goal is to make possible for players leveling in dungeons, like on retail. Also dungeons much more easy to fix, than raids like ICC... Maybe, i want to emphasize maybe, raids will be opened with partial scripting, but in that case achievements wont work.
I'm waiting for everyone on cata;)

:( This kind of saddens me, but I know how much work goes into getting old raids/achievements working, so its understandable.
Hopefully by end of 2015 we can get some old raids working :P
It's just priorities. It's very inefficiently to spend a lot of time to fix old raid for a couple of achievements while a lot of stuff like holidays, dungeons, zones isn't fixed...

I wonder, how are we prioritizing currently? Do developers get to just choose what needs to be worked on (after game breaking bugs of course).
You make a great point, in that maybe Molten Front, Vashjir, Hyjal, and holiday events also don't work on Cataclysm, so I can see why devs would maybe prioritize those over older content.
Also, we heard that the core that we are using for MoP is very similar to Cata. Will porting content from Cata to MoP be possible in the future?
When MoP was launched in PTR, a LOT of older content was open and working. What happened to those dungeons/raids? :/
I know you won't have answers to all the questions, but I'm bored at work and you're the most responsive dev (BUT SPARK IS CATCHING UP TOO AMG) :)
I can't say a lot about mop, because i'm not working on it. Yes, it's possible to port content from cata or wotlk to mop, but more complex content required more work to port it. For example, gilneas on mop in worse conditions compare to cata because of this. But low level dungeons would be much easier to port.
As for priorities, i can't say about whole Warmane team, but as for me i have next list:
1. End-game dungeons&raids;
2. Legendary quest lines(very hard to implement now due to lack of data);
3. Low level dungeons & zones & holidays & molten front & funny things like that rare dragon in deepholm (also hard to implement correct due to lack of data);
4. Low level raids;
Cool, I hope we can find better ways to port old content from LK/Cata, since LK has all(?) old dungeons/raids open, and Cata has most of cataclysm content, so if we could port, we would have all the content in MoP.
