This is out of pure curiosity, as I'm a Computer Science major in school, but what are you guys using to script things? Is it a developers environment or are you guys going straight down to the code? It seems really fascinating to me. If you are going straight to the code, what language is it?

We're running a heavily modified core (framework) that derived from an open-source emulator, it's based mostly in C++. Pretty much every emulator that exists derived from MaNGOS, the massive network game object server, which basically brought WoW into the open-source scene back in 2005 so if you're interested in emulators, start there.

Very interesting. I'm toying around with Java at the moment. Trying my hand in learning a little bit of C++ as well.
