Dude, lol calm down. It's okay. There is nothing I said that warranted a "F'off" and you are completely and totally out of line by saying such a thing on a public forum where players are suppose to expressing their thoughts, opinions, and even experiences. My post was my opinion and mine alone, that's it, nothing more, nothing less. Now, I'm not asking you to like it, but I am asking you to reframe from speaking to others in that manor as it does make you like dumb and two it makes everything else you have to say not worth reading. I ask you from this point forward to please try and act like a mature adult when posting on an public forums so people can at least take you serious, because as of right now no one is going to take you serious.l

    Moving on....

As far as WoD goes. I was there okay. I was in Beta and I was there when the game went live. I was reading the forums when people had list of compliants to Blizzard begging them to fix this and fix that and one of the biggest issues that people listed was how the game makes it feel like its all about sitting in your garrison all day and doing a facebook game. Now, not only did I read this on the forums, but I saw this in beta and I witnessed it first hand when it went live and people came rushing to the forums demanding refunds and complaining how the game felt so empty. This is also one of the biggest reasons I unsubbed and walked away 5 months, because those people were right!

Garrisons weren't the only problem though. It was totally uncool how blizzard raped and stripped our characters of their abilities making them feel weak and useless, I hadn't felt this bad since Cataclysm, but hey even in Cataclysm I still felt strong and didn't feel like I had an empty spellbook. I don't know if you know this, but some classes got it really really bad, Disc Priest being 1 button wonders, Elemental Shamans being completely and totally useless, Warlocks being a less form of a mage (why play lock when you can play a mage and be superior?). This wasn't the usual compliant my friend about how this class was op and needs to be nerfed, this was a huge problem where they screwed up and left several classes dead in the water and some are still really bad off especailly considering all Range can't cast and move at all and their all stuck their dead in the water and the whole expansion is dominated by melee.

But that's just PvP, PvE also had it's huge list of problems as well, but I won't bite into that on this post.

I guess I'll touch on the biggest problem of them how. The open world. Now as I listed before Garrisons took a lot, well almost everything from the open world and Blizzard's stance and silence on the removal of flying wasn't helping things either and people just didn't wanna go out and pointlessly farm lame puzzles farm a useless piece of gear or useless garrison resources, so the world became incredibly empty over a very short period of time as there was no real fun form of transportation (flying) and to add insult to injury they gave us more flight paths than needed and that just made the world feel smaller and weaker. So what was left to go out into the open world for? Rares? They really weren't rare considering you kill them once and it never mattered ever again. Bonus quest? Nobody cared about these in the first place. Is this a good time to mention the COMPLETELY REMOVED A WHOLE FREAKING ZONE? A beloved zone that was adored in TBC, just wiped off the map? Gone! and for now what? a raid, sure that's nice, but that's a huge zone and all there is to do around the hub is apex dailies and farm new mats. Point being to all this is Dreanor felt incredibly small and it was incredibly wrong of Blizzard to do such a horrible job on an expansion they boosted and bragged about for over a year.

There are plenty more things wrong with WoD, but i'm not going to post them all here as I don't care to waste anymore of my time, but it's fine, I honestly want Warmane to release a WoD server, not because I think it'll do great, but because in some strange way it'll be wrong of them not to do it, I mean they've released everything else up to WoD, so why not, right? I've said my peace and I've said all that I can say and now all that's left to do is let time tell the truth. It'll be interesting to see if WoD on Warmane can hold a decent population and if it really is worth the hard work and effort to keep up in running, so I guess we'll all have to see won't we? Til then, take care and have fun gaming.

(BTW: this is how you write a constructive post, maybe you should try and use that brain of yours more often so people don't think you're a complete and total.....)

i'll just leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQR9XWGFkj4
No,you started your post by saying that wod shouldn't be launched cause the players tought it was bad,i personally enjoy the PvE content in wod and i think blizzard did a good job with raids and dungeons, quite honestly, you said that and spoke for the players to say that warmane shouldn't release WoD because YOU don't like it,but lots of people here enjoy WoD and would love to try the new expansion out, of course offering the new models, new dungeons, new continent ability pruning, stats diminution and all the new lore that the expansion has to offer if i was you i would speak for myself because not everyone jumps in the hate blizzard bandwagon and this is the reason why WoW still has 8.1 million subscribers atm,and look mate,i don't really care if you've been there on retail while WoD was on beta, because i've tried the expansion on retail and couldn't afford the monthly subscription and i would appreciate if a server like warmane starts a new WoD realm with AT.

To conclude,i'm sorry if my post sounded immature but it's just that people spill so much negativity in the game right now,but don't see all the good things in the game and enjoy it

Then your basic argument is that no one should be able to play until things meet your "standards," because you won't play, but also don't want the ones interested in playing to get a "head start"? This expansion isn't any sort of priority or something with a dire need to be released as soon as possible, but don't expect its released whenever it happens to be based on your personal wants. The choice will be yours to join it with the content it happens to have on release or not, whether it matches your personal "requirements" partially, fully or not at all.
On real game servers Beta test isn't an ongoing thing, its a test/debug period where players should be there, and they get a head start learning the expansion but then when its a smart time to open there is a nice player wipe and everyone starts from scratch with an expectation of the main components already being working. You apparently desire a case where those people who play Beta are rewarded by never being wiped and having a head start on the others.

Good god all we ask for is the things that make an expansion unique and were also released day one on Blizzard to be released on the first day that players will no longer be wiped (meaning out of a legitimate beta test phase). Thats all we ask. The minimum requirements by players should be the bare minimum that is reasonable, just the unique stuff to the expansion that was released day one on Blizzard. Got the idea? Please quit trying to change the discussion to be a generalized one about how some people might like to get an unfair head start on an expansion instead of waiting. Its all about the player experience, which if you care what Blizlike means, means basic expectations from each expansion. Its not meant to be a discussion about "Hey should we be a server of perpetual beta testing or not."

What I desire is irrelevant. The thing is much simpler than that: you want to post your opinions and your "wishlist" for an eventual server with this expansion, go ahead. It just becomes a bit of an issue when you start replying to users as if your opinion is the only valid one. Perhaps you lost sight of what you said on your opening post, but this is an open discussion to exchange opinions, not a thread to decide the expansion's future on Warmane.

I'll quote myself since it feels like you didn't even read my post:

You can rest assured none of your "requirements" will be ditched by the Administration out of spite when deciding the moment of release, but rest just as assured that the release won't be delayed based on your personal preferences. Content will be included or left for later based on much more complex and critical criteria than your wishlist. Each player has their own set of preferences and they can't all be catered to. In the end of the day, a server in this expansion will be released when the Administration sees the development as "enough to release," which, once again, might match your wants fully, partially or not at all.

My only replies to others in the thread are to keep them "on point" which is what community would like as minimum before release of WoD, some replies seem to think it is a "should we be a perpetual beta server or not", any replies that are simply "I would like this, and this before release" I have no problem with.

This was a much much better post, thank you for taking your time to reply in a much more mature manor!!! 100% appreciated.

Anyways, yes I did speak in general and sorry if I'm a little bitter about things and how Blizzard has treated their fanbase. As a long time retail player they've really struck a nerve with the remove of flight, and what i feel is a lot of dishonesty in their reasoning behind why they removed it, (i think was removed because of cost and it took to many resources to fully map a new continent), but you're right, Highmaul was a really cool raid despite it's lack of teir gear and being gated for 2 weeks after release and BRF for what I saw of it really great to, but I was still left feeling Blizzard just didn't try with WoD. Everything just felt rushed and lazy outside of raiding. Dungeons were designed well, but the biggest problem with dungeons was the lack of option. There just wasn't enough dungeons compared to their recent expansions. Even outside world content was severely lack and completely horrible with the Apex Dailies and that alone was bad enough to make this guy quit.

Now on to 6.1, like I had said before with the intergration of Twitter and Selfie it was like a slap to the face. It was like Blizzard was giving up without even trying and continuing on into 6.2, yes Hellfire Citadel looks great, but awfully green...and imo i just don't know how Blizzard felt removing Tanaan Jungle from the 90 to 100 leveling zones was a good idea, I don't know, but that is was it is, but as it currently stands they took what should have been a leveling zone and turned into a Timeless Isle 2.0 type of thing with Garrison Mission. The changes to professions look good, but without flight it still feels like gathering professions will be a drag and...

...man I could go on all day, but listen to me? lol I don't think i'm being fair to you or the fans that wanna play WoD. I'll end this with saying I think in many ways Warmane will do a great service for WoD and put it out there for the public to enjoy the way it feels it should be enjoyed and that's with a Free to Play model. I mean seriously, if WoD had gone live as a Free to Play model, I don't think I could have complained one bit, or at least a lot less. So trust me, i've reevaluated my OP and yes, in many ways WoD will do okay on Warmane, not because it's a great expansion, but because it'll be better off with players being able to see the new dungeons and raids for free, that which is the way it should have been right off the bat.

Take care care man and good luck out there, hope you have some fun raiding and seeing some of the new content, or at least the instanced content.

    /peace

  6. Does anyone else find it ironic that and kind of insulting that Blizzard had to go to some off the wall 3rd party site to discussing flying NOT returning in WoD and possible near future expansions, but when they cave in and decide to give us flying back, they do it on the front page of WoW?

Yeah, they caved in,but you know there is people who don't give two ****s about flying or just don't want it and there is people who are sick of pulling trough mobs in the ground or just wanna try their flying mounts out,but blizzard wants to please to everyone, which is quite a hard decision, but atleast they've pulled a tought to this and make it have requirements, which is a great implementation,it actually makes you work for flying and try out the content.

this expansion might be decent gameplay wise if they keep implementing things that you have to actually work for

  8. Not that it is important but let me give some thought as to my experience from me first playing WoW when I first joined during BC/WotLK days. My first experience is with leveling up. When I first joined the experience gain was harder. Just to get to level 60 took me over a time period of a year. Not in total but playing off and on throughout that year to level up. In those days you could spend a lot of time finding quests just to get that last bar tick to be able to move one to the next area...they did not have Hero Boards...you had to complete quest lines to be able to open the next area fully. So after a while I quit WoW and then later come back and discover that in less than a month I could ding from 1 to 60 in less than a month. I, for one did not like this as I appreciated that I had to work for it. I was proud to chat "DING!" in my guild chat. And everyone was happy for me as well. Another experience, along the topic lines, was mounts. Starting WoW in those days you did not get to mount up at level 20. You got your mount at 40 and at a price. So you can imagine my...disbelief when I returned and at 20 I can ride around for a cheaper price. At this, I noticed that somehow mounts were believed by a majority of people to be somehow a given. You are supposed to be able to ride/fly. Now I find myself holding that belief as well as flying (especially) allowed me to skip over areas to be able to get to where I need to go. However, when MoP came out, it gave me an appreciation of the game and the land. It reminded me of the originality of WoW. It also made me great full for the ability to fly and makes me want to earn it. Sorry, but I think earning things makes me more appreciative and grateful for things. So this belief that things should be given is kind of maddening for me. As to what Warmane is planning for WoD. All I know is that they will get to it when they do. Warmane has done a lot for each of their realms and I for one know it....especially when I first joined they went through continuous DDoS attacks and various other bugs that crashed my game and others. Warmane is not Blizzard. They have a good crew but do not have the numbers as Blizzard does. EIther stick it out and know that things will be working right or go retail. A game that I can play for free is not something that I have too many complaints about...and if I do have a complaint then there is the suggestion/Q&A thread or the bugtracker to place them in. /quit Nerd Rage /drop grumpy old man stick

  9. ...but WoD is currently on the backburner. We're working on it here and there, but our focus is currently on what we already have. As of this moment, there are huge changes going on WotLK, and we still have much work to do on Cata/MoP.
thank you for this bit of info. its very reassuring.
