1. I don't have a problem in theory with a x1 WOTLK server option, though I have no plans to use it.

I do think it's odd to make it Warmane's "flagship" if they only expect a smaller population to use it.

It also seems a bit strange that they would be concentrating on making a perfect new server when there are embarrassing bugs on Neltharion like birds not even flying right, instead jerking up and down. I expect a new player might see that, conclude that the server is hopelessly buggy and move on to another one. Why not fix those first, on the realms where thousands are already playing?

Having said that, I love Warmane, defects and all, since it gives me the expansions I like with a decent population. Just wish they'd concentrate on making the high population servers as perfect as possible first.

If someone quits a realm due to birds not flying properly then they really don't belong on any private server...

  3. If someone quits a realm due to birds not flying properly then they really don't belong on any private server...
Of course they won't quit BECAUSE of that specifically, but they might well think "if they can't make a bird fly right, how can they get complex boss mechanics right?" They might also wonder why the bird flies right on a server with no donations for gear, but doesn't on a server with lots of donations.

It's bad advertising for the server. The same goes for bad pathing by mobs. It's something obvious and embarrassing that the Dodgy Kebabs of the world can point to as reasons not to give the server a chance if a mob runs through a fence.

Dodgy Kebab just wrote a pretty bad review of Neltharion, and one response I saw from Kaer was "wait til you see Lordaeron." Well, as a Neltharion player, I'd have preferred a response like "wait til you see how well Neltharion is running in 6 months."

Again, I'm a big Warmane fan. I've given them a lot of my money. I just would like to see them concentrate on the servers where they already have a lot of players. But I won't lose any sleep over it either way- Neltharion runs ok for the endgame pvp I care most about.

  4. Full focus on WOTLK realms that working really good.
Meanwhile MOP content is pathetic and Cataclysm waiting for achievements/old content/ACTUAL content since 4.0.6.

    brilliant idea kkkk

  5. On another note, has anyone else wondered why we don't have more server mergers or cooperation like with Warmane and AT, in the interests of the playing community?

There are servers out there right now that don't have 1/10 the population of Warmane that do certain things really well, such as Cata questing. Why not get them to port over some of their scripting, and pay them for it, rather than hiring new developers?

If servers would cooperate more then I expect near-perfect versions of WOTLK and Cata could be quickly available. No one seems to have good versions of MoP or WoD running, so that would likely take a while.

  6. I don't know what are people thinking:

A server that is not going to have (even) 1000 people online (ok, first day 3000 people, at one week, 2000, one month, 1000, and pray for it). You can't even imagine the problems that will be on pve/pvp for finding people. //And taking into consideration that Rag/Death will lose around 250-500 people// Sight...

A MOP expansion that needs so much, so much, SO MUCH work. PVE, PVP (Anb being selfie, man, PVP, so much...).

Problems with the other Woltlk servers (stability, a heavy toon of bugs). I don't know if you have noticed, but Wotlk have lost so many players... pff.

Cata... I'm not even going to say nothing about it.

Don't confuse me, this community is just amazing. But... staff need to focus on important things. Fix, fix, fix, fix, fix, fix. Classes bugs, bg's (and open world pvp), raids, arenas. And that's all. As Dantri have said, I don't know why they have not tried to merge with other servers. We all know some that have good pvp on Pandaria. Not bad pvp/pve on Cataclism. And... on Wotlk, ok, this this is the best, speaking about pve.

  7. Vote shop will be disabled. There will be coin support but with high limitations such as no legendary items, very high coin costs and character's equipped slot item level requirements before an item can be purchased with coins. That will keep items from website rare due to high cost and limitations but still realm pulling its own funding independently.
Would it be possible to make an eventual "point" support ?
Maybe you're thinking that a progressive point store would keep players from buying coins (which wouldn't benefit the server, we all admit), but there are some of us who actually cannot donate due to various reasons, while going to join Lordaeron anyways. I personnally came to old Molten four years ago only for its x1 realm, and playing on Deathwing right now isn't pleasant at all, but it is not as if I had the choice.
Plus, I'd like to know what type of items the coin store is gonna be about. If you're planning to fill it up with gear only, then I wouldn't care much about it, I'd rather farm my sets IG. However, if there are gonna be mounts and other Lore stuff, it'd be quite a shame not to make non-donors able to purchase them also.

  8. I'm looking forward to level on Lordaeron.
I haven't read too much about the realm, but I hope that transfers are not possible or anything. Just pure leveling and no insta 80.

To those who think it will not work, It had demand before, I don't see why it wouldn't have any now.

  9. Should be fine as long as it would be on level of Blackrock and Warsong, with a few hundred players.
So its ok for you to have 300 players online? Now split it ally/horde add to this pve/pvp and server is a ghost town.
Why do you even try to reheat the same chop once again ? It wont work. Hype at the start? Then dying like lord used to be.
MoP is unplayable prob same with cata...

  10. So it's going to be a progress realm? Meaning when it opens we will start with only Naxx and Season 1 arena Gear? Then as months go by Ulduar, TOC, And ICC will open at the same pace it did during retail?

  11. Dodgy Kebab just wrote a pretty bad review of Neltharion, and one response I saw from Kaer was "wait til you see Lordaeron." Well, as a Neltharion player, I'd have preferred a response like "wait til you see how well Neltharion is running in 6 months."
Although not with drawbacks and shortcomings, mainly lack of low level dungeons, Neltharion is the most scripted Cataclysm realm. Other than "wait till you see Neltharion", we could have also said that the "alternatives" Dodgy mentioned didn't even have Firelands or Dragon Soul that we've had for a very long time. Dodgykebab's videos were limited due to him not having opportunity to test end-game that we've focused on. Neltharion is the best scripted Cataclysm realm, some issues with low level quests and rare class trainer menu issues don't do justice reflecting colossal hard work that has been done on Cataclysm.

Much hate in your words. What you call unplayable are ones of the best, if not THE best scripted expansions compared to other private servers. You would be surprised if you checked which private servers even have Firelands or Dragon Soul scripted, or Throne of Thunder as far as our MoP has, and we scripted those because of community demand for end-game content. Also take into account our pace and improvements that we've made in every direction we undertook within the community. Please drop the prejudice, we've taken it all for enough but sometimes question your doubts also. Stating false and overly exaggerated facts in your face makes it obvious that you're not very aware of situation elsewhere, show me a bug on our realm I'll show you 5 on another private server that you'll name. Compare how much releases we do in a week to other private servers. Don't be prejudiced, we have accepted enough criticism and have done our research in the meantime and discovered that not only things aren't "that bad" but they're better than elsewhere. It's not just because 'friends play' or refunds that many people stayed after the disaster.

When I mentioned Lordaeron having few hundred players I meant that I expect it to have less players than other realms but very hardcore and core members. Such people stay and even more so if the realm they play on is top that Lordaeron is expected to be. Private server communities often like high rates and custom things and as such there's usually a very high flow of players in-and-out, that's exactly why the higher rate the more players played. Warmane in the direction of delivering challenging and hardcore experience, not opening additional expansions or high rate "trash" realms that are unmonitored and abandoned as it's the case in many private servers. Once again, it will be Lordaeron that we hope to offer what we dream of in terms of challenge and completeness and we hope that everyone people will enjoy and appreciate it, even if it's a few hundred.

As a bottom line, even if one private server has some aspects worse than another doesn't mean that its work should not be appreciated, its hard work and strengths ignored or even worse - bashed. That said, Warmane is not that kind of server anyway and I am faithful that great majority of our community is with us because of our constant hard work and because we ultimately deserve what we get.

  13. Kaer , disable coin levelup too , so everyone can have an some leving exp. Atm now on other realms if you started leveling you would be alone untill you hit 80.
With insta lvl disabled low lvl rdfs would also be used more often for even better expirience.

  14. Also , i hope you guys promote warmane to new players for long time after launch.

Lordaeron will not have instant levelup. Even though it's by far the top choice of players to spend coins on, on a Lordaeron type of realm it will detach and degrate the experience. We want to see world PvP to exist and factions meet each other in Azeroth, be it Stranglethorn Vale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Hellfire Peninsula or Icecrown.
