I'm packing my bags currently for my flight to L.A. I'm so freaking nervous because I have ever been in an airplane before. It also feels kinda wierd to know that I won't be seeing my home for the next 6 weeks.

I got it recently too (few weeks ago). Took me some games to get good at it, I started with a bad K/D too.
Now I'm gold 4 watching useless team mates with 1/3 K/D get purple drops while I get nothing :(

Yeah I noticed a slight improvement in the several hours I played, only won one game though>.< Yet to have anything drop for me either.10 crates=10 blues, bah>.< I keep experiencing a problem where the game becomes unresponsive and require a force shut when loading up a Map, kinda annoying

I've been playing Elite: Dangerous for the last day and a half and .... oh. my. god. As someone who values exploration above all else in games, I'll probably never finish this one. :| I also get to go pirating and fighting for territory on top of that. First looking at the game, deciding if I wanted to get it or not, I really wasn't sure. But being in the cockpit with 3 twin stars in your face and a solar system many times the size of our own at my back.... I just can't get over it. Everything is to scale, and most (if not all) of our mapped galaxy is available for exploration. The rest of it is populated with algorithm-made systems. I can go and explore as much as I like, but even traveling at a thousand times the speed of light, it would take me 100 years to get to the other side of the galaxy. I respected the size of the universe before, but nothing puts it into perspective like flying up to a planet that grows from a dot to a screen-covering crater which makes up just a fraction of the planet's surface.

Ugh, need to sleep... then I'll get back to no-lifing the expanse of space.

I'm not a beach bum anymore. The dark, mexican tan I once had is now turning into a tan that a white person should have. The only time I ever go to the beach now is if I plan to do something there. All of the people I used to hang out at the beach don't go anymore because we all went our separate ways :'(
