English is not my first language. Not even my second, yet I can speak and comprehend it better than most of the native speakers that I've met.

I've already noticed in many of your posts how good you are in english, wonder how you do actually. English is by far the easiest of the all languages I speak, and yet I'm having difficulty with it. Seems to me that it's too concise of a language. Too much...

I'm doing quite well because I enjoy reading a lot (especially in english). I mean if I can read Ulysses and understand its intricacies, that must tell something in and of itself. I always took pride in my ability to learn languages. I'm also very arrogant.

Third edit: I hate impressionists so much. Relativism destroyed everything when it comes to culture.

I too read a lot in english. Lately I've been reading only in english and even so I don't feel that it's improving much. I understand very well, but it's another matter when it comes to practise, as you can notice sometimes kek...
Taking pride in such a useful ability is not arrogance. What is arrogant is to brag about it, which you don't do :D

Is it weird that I am an American and not proud? I want to retreat back to my roots. Back to Europe or Asia? :< My Grandpa is an immigrant from Europe and Grandma is an immigrant from Asia. Haven't decided yet. :< Ricks just wants us to flee to Canada, eh.

My great Grandmother is American. Seemingly she moved back to her motherland of Scotland as soon as she was old enough.

I always wondered what my ancestors' nationality were... Never really had the answer to that...
I wonder about that more at the moment, because every time one of my brothers went to the 1st grade, we always knew english... No one taught us anything, we even asked our mother a couple of times and she didn't know... So, everytime our teachers asked us where we learned english from, we'd just say we learned it from the movies (I'm sure it helped a bit, obviously, but not entirely). We are generally good in languages though...

Anyway, I'm on my way to download games I missed in the last 5-6 years lol... Downloading 4 Call of Duty games, with Ghosts and Advanced Warfare left, because well, they're huge, and I don't want to see my internet going nuts again...

Any suggestions? Cheers.
