It's really good, you should give it a shot. Just don't play it by yourself, it loses a lot of its fun if you aren't playing with at least 1 other person.

One of the biggest reasons I don't like Terraria is because it's not a free and open world like Minecraft is. Now, I know Terraria wasn't created to be a "build whatever you can dream of" type game and I know there are real goals. But I'm not even interested in those goals nor was I ever interested in trying to kill the dragon in Minecraft.

And some people will say that Terraria has more adventure than Minecraft. I've played probably an hour of Terraria and I can understand why people make that claim. But for some reason, it doesn't draw me in. Yeah, there is more loot, dungeons and ****. But it has a different feel of progression and it doesn't pull me in. It never has and it probably never will.
