1. Neltharion Low Pop

Hello all! I had been a pretty constant player on the cata realms before the Moltdown occurred. Can anyone tell me why now all of a sudden Nelth has like barely any population and the queues are so long? It's frustrating to see a full Mop server, and two pretty full wotlk server, but then like 2k people on Nelth.

Just didn't know if there was a reason. I'd prefer not to get bombarded with: "lolz cata suks bro"

  2. There used to be 3 really well populated cata realms and all of a sudden there is only one "poorly" (In terms of Warmane it is poor, other private servers would appreciate that pop) populated. The thing is IMO that after they released end content too early, with missing content from cata generally except the 2 last raids, there is nothing to do anymore.

  3. Broken Core

I do not know the real reason. My guess is that the game core has fallen below the competition [by far] and people emigrated. Personally, I would not dare to play other client than WotLK in this server, unless you like to waste your time with bugs/non-working content. Perhaps they improve the CATA game core in time, but at the moment it is what it is.

  4. I was on Nelth when cata was just released, cleared all bosses on heroic and moved to MoP for new challanges. I assume thats what most people did if they stayed here after the moltdown. This has nothing to do with the core. More likely its because the lack of updates on cata is driving everyone else to WOTLK or MoP.

  5. Well, it isn't the lowest.
You complain about Loraderon having only 2,6 k people, but didn't notice warsong has only like 400. or Blackrock with 1000 people.

The realm looks healthy to me.

  6. Hello all! I had been a pretty constant player on the cata realms before the Moltdown occurred. Basically because almost everything is broken on there, leaving players with nothing to do. There are very few working quests, very few working achievements, almost no low level raids and dungeons. Even a good few of the high level dungeons are broken now. So basically, you get to do FL and DS over and over or sit in Org/SW.

  7. cause u have rogues doing 500k dps on madness, firemages doing 150k constant dps, ppl buging and exploting everything there is in pve, i wont talk about pvp since i didnt try it after moltdown. but pve is ******ed :D

morchok hc still doesnt have dmg reduction, so pugs just kite 1 half and nuke the other one, i saw rogues recking morchok hc in 5 seconds solo, spine hc still u're still not getting the hp debuff after u kill algramation (i doubt i spelled that right, BIG add :) ) now paladins can solo tank spine hc...

  8. I played on Cataclysm since 4.0.6. After some time of farming DS HC I started to get bored, after Moltdown now there is way too much people with BIS gear in PvP, and same about PvE. Also no real updates for cotent (Wargames still not, I think "Same faction RBGs" are still bugged, correct me if I am wrong) and the most important, old content is not even released at 10%.

So instead farming dragons googolplex times or getting one shoted by another Ret/Rog team, people rather try out MoP or WOTLK realms. Some of them just migrating to other private server, and some of them going retail.

In my honest opinion new parody of MMR System did this, as well as Moltdown, and the lack of cotent. Another example Cataclysm players had to wait 8 months for Paladin+Gurthalak fix or Warrior's Execute.

Cata PvP is dead since Cataclysmic gear release.

  9. Cataclysm is not the most fun expansion out there, people get bored quickly and move on to other stuff.

  10. Cataclysm PvP isnt dead at all ....on both sides u will find alot of pvp guilds (Active!!) , so in my opinion if some1 likes pvp and dont want to play wotlk neltharion is the best solution . (since mop is way to buggy and i dont like mop at all :P just my opinion)
and about the pally/rogue combo in arena .. i rather face them then pally/dk with smourne in wotlk ..

maybe nelth isnt the most popular realm but for pvp its awesome (again just my opinion)

It would be awesome if warmane staff could finally release some old raids and dungeons this would make neltharion more funny and maybe more people would play cataclysm :D

  11. It's simple, people fled to Cataclysm when it was launched just because it was new, exactly what is happening right now to Mist of Pandaria. However, good expansions will always attract people even after 6-7 years, just like Wrath of the Lich King does, it keeps Warmane alive . Maybe you will enjoy the new Lordaeron and join us .

  12. Expansion is the worst so...
It's not the worst, but then again it's your opinion so...

  13. I avidly play the expansion and I noticed firsthand of the population drop. Let me give it to you straight up as to why:
-Prior to Moltdown, the server had PLENTY of bugs that lasted the entire year, no actual content being made, slow updates etc. (shout out to green_dev though, he scripted and made some of these fixes without paying thanks to hermes) so people just had the knowledge that they'd go to MOP or WOTLK where Kaer promises to focus on those realms specifically.
    -Moltdown
-After Moltdown, AT fixes fixed some of these problems-- (we never had a proper fix for Gurthalaks and Paladins), and even more bugs appeared as much.
-Retribution Paladin's censure dots doing more damage than Deathwing's Second Cataclysm
    -Broken Pets
    -Broken classes
-No updates (We all heard about the 'ports' they claim but they never did it (just my suspicions because they said the SAME thing about porting instances from WOTLK to Cata/MoP realms))

Overall, people left Cataclysm because of the amount of bugs that were still not fixed, people that were smart moved along to other expansions. Cataclysm can be pretty balanced (in a way) if classes and weapons were working as they were back on live.

  14. As one of the people that switched to Wotlk from Cataclysm after the series of events that led to the loss of everyone's characters, I can say the Cataclysm realms were steadily losing players even before the incident, especially the mid-range Neltharion realm. It doesn't really come as a surprise to me that the trend has only gotten worse when none of the leading factors for people's departure were really addressed, i.e stagnation and a ton of inaccessible PvE content. People just don't see the point of going through the process of establishing Cataclysm characters all over again when they already know that what awaits them at the end of that road is incomplete and flawed.

Of course aside from general issues with the server, people also have issues with the expansion itself and Cataclysm wasn't really a particularly well received one, unlike something like Wotlk, which is widely praised as the best expansion by the majority of the WoW player base. While I definitely liked transmogrification and reforging, those features came at the heavy price of atrocious PvP balance, butchered talent trees and a big middle finger to world PvP in the form of flying mounts everywhere.
