Coins for gear

I understand you must obtain a lesser tier item before you can spend coins to upgrade to a higher tier.

My question is does this work for PVP gear? And for obtaining gear that would not otherwise be out since it is a progressive server. How much more will it cost compared to other molten servers.

My fear is that this "hardcore" server will just be pay to win essentially ruining any competition or true "hardcore" aspects because al the bad players will have gear still.

it is going 2 be a mess about PvP gear via donations if it goes by same rule as for PvE gear...since when new season comes almost all will have gear from previous season so by same logic they will be able 2 buy new 1 since they have previous....dono whats their plan at all for PvP aspect of the realm since most of the questions and most topics are focused on PvE aspect of the game...i realy hope they try 2 make the pvp aspect same as pve somehow ...

So no, you cannot obtain items that are not available in-game.

Also, it's been stated before that: yes you can for example donate for Edge of Agony, equip it, then donate for Fleshrender (thread example), BUT, it will cost you a ****-ton of money.

I doubt anyone has that amount of cash available to spend on items in a game.

Currently increasing costs to 3x or 2x might be too much as there are already topics popping on premium forum that current even item costs are too high (which is true and it's done that way to keep them comparatively rare) and this subject would need input from premium forums so we go overboard with costs.

To clarify, Lordaeron will already have limitations to the coin shop to prevent too many players running around with high gear. Read it here.

You mean coins on the old version of Lordaeron? Well if it wasn't restored (in the period that you could restore old coins) then you can't get them back sadly. At least that's how i think it was?

Do you mean coins from before the database hijack? These were refunded to all recovered accounts and had a limited time to be spent.

As you say, you have spent them. You aren't going to be able to "refund" them to use on Lordaeron, if that's what you mean.

I have ~10 friends from other servers that would be willing to give this one a shot but are very hesitant to play knowing that other people who are not as skilled in a raid tier lower can have heroic equivalent gear with out even doing heroic...

What do you mean? Everyone recovers their coins automatically when they recover their old accounts.

The server won't be out for almost a whole month. Wait for it to be released and see what it's like before declaring the end of the world, please.

Well first of all you actually have to do normal which WILL be a real challange and the prizes are gonna be really high so your logic is flawed... I hope you reconsider and let your 10 friends at least play and try it (excluding you).

If you meant coins before the hack, they have been refunded and available to spend for a limited time.
If you mean after the hack, anything you've spent is well spent. You can't "un-donate" items/bonuses from other realms to use on Lordaeron.

Obnoxious, I never stated it will be the end of the world. I said that my friends are hesitant to see how out of control the p2w will be. And we will all still try it out and wait and see what happens but damn does this community seem like **** already.

Can't tell if sarcastic but normal is not a challenge and my logic is not flawed at all, bad people will buy gear like your self that you wouldn't otherwise be able to earn.
