Nerf human racial for lordareon? discussion

im almost sure the alliance will be stronger, i remember the past lordaeron - couldnt win for hours a day, balance was sh!t and alliance kept making fun of hordes; ques were fast for hordes (less ppl) and the alliance were wasiting 10 minutes for 1 bg, yup awesome days. part of it is coz of ppl who go just for racials to the alliance and here goes the balance, lets see what will happen in this server

Meh i always enjoyed myself playing PVP in wrath so :) Doesn't matter which faction has more PVPers :)

What are you talking about? What thread from the Staff is this? And where does the connection between considering disabling a faction to have faction balance elsewhere and tweaking a racial comes from?

simple. nerfing human racial would positively affect faction balance because lot of pvpers would go horde instead of human...

Yeah but that won't happen sadly so.... You simply have to deal with it... As a staff member said it might be considered on Blackrock but not on this realm :)

When we want to "positively affect faction balance," we offer free Faction Changes, we don't remove game features.
Racials, be them human or otherwise, aren't going anywhere.

Nah, I've played for a long time in the Lordaeron realm. I've changed faction between alliance and horde many times (just to try out new models and racials) and the win-loose ratio was balanced. If you keep loosing battlegrounds just try to organize some good premades. It was harder to create them during those days because everyone used to be a gearscore ***** but on the new Lordaeron this ain't gonna happen.

it would be a minor issue anyway but that you can buy items for money well that need to be solved I dont think its way a server should sustain itself...

The server can't finance itself without the gear to be honest.... It's gonna be increased prizes anyway so they will earn more money to be honest if more are gonna donate but i think the prizes will be like 50-75 coins per item (I hope) or even more perhaps! We will see when it's finished!

I disagree with you entirely. You just can't go ahead and start removing racial abilities from the game, especially if it's something that never happened on retail. If Warmane is in fact trying to emulate the realest WOTLK environment then the idea of removing racials or abilities all together that existed in the real WOTLK is absurd.

I guarantee this new WOTLK server would be a flop if they went ahead and made huge changes that didn't exist in retail. The whole reason this new X1 WOTLK server is so hype is because everyone wants to go back to the good ole days where it was actually hard to obtain items / mounts / levels / gold in the game.

That is what made the game fun. I have been playing WoW since it first released and I am telling you now .... what made the game epic was the fact that only the hard core players had the best gear and the rarest mounts. WoW died IMO as soon as they started making everything easy to obtain.... It's a disheartening feeling when you see scrubs with the best gear and rarest mounts.

I am incredibly excited for the release of this new realm and I hope the X1 rates + no points + limited coin shop + arena rating requirement for pvp gear will bring me back to the good days.

here we go hard to OBTAIN ITEMS... and it should stay this way.. i will newer pay for good item BUT i honestly will pay for good server and yeah i dont want any coins or points in return... (reward your hardcore fans with pets, race changes, transmogs etc...) This server will be huge and im looking forward to it. I just cant get into hype train because of this model. I dont want your items in return just take my money! :P

Meh they wouldn't be enable to finance only by cosmetics i believe... People would be demanding gear cause they been selling gear for ages... It will be progressive in the way they put items so you cannot get the items (the heroic ones) without getting the normal one first.... Soo i don't see the issue here...
