the blizzard graphic designers, growing up, were absolutely cartoon addicts > it is known
They could of went for more 'lifelike' > it is no coincidence they did not.
We didnt invent the term toons -In the cartoon making world, they call them 'toons' themselves.

World of Warcraft is majorly a game with childish graphics.
Calling characters in it "toons" is just a natural recognition of the fact everything in the game is extremely cartoonish.

Yes the graphic of WoW has a cartoonish style but calling it "childish graphic" is still wrong.
Infact there are many games, comics and movies that have a cartoonish style but arent for children by any means.
