Hey guys. Is there any other possibility than using bittorent to download Wotlk? I really would like to play on Lordaeron. The reason why I dont want to download it by using bittorent is because in Germany you can easily get a punishment if you use bittorent and I dont want to risk it. So can anyone help me?

Downloading WoW is not illegal, even Blizz uses P2P client... and I don't think that there's any other way, really.

Downloading WoW not from Blizzard is illegal. Some people got letters from ISP for that but that was some time ago. It could be considered legal if you have bought WoW with the expansion you want to play on already. It's not torrents or P2P that makes it illegal. It's illegal in any form but direct downloads usually are not monitored and could only monitored by ISP. When you are downloading a torrent everyone sees your IP and there could be someone who can report it to your ISP.
Direct download is not officially provided and as far as I know there isn't any. I would suggest using VPN if you live in a country where you can get problems for downloading torrents.

How are you guys downloading pirated content there?!
Anyway you could try using VPN, but it will take you years to download the game.

It's usually someone associated with content creators who monitors downloads and informs ISPs. But they target specific countries. As far as I remember in Germany there is even a company who sends notices and asks for money without legally being allowed to do so.
In those countries most people rarely download pirated content.
There are VPNs with decent speed but most of them are not free.

There are websites where you can direct download the client. I wont name any other servers websites because i dont want to advertise other servers, but some of their websites do have the ability to direct download the 3.3.5a client. Once downloaded you can change the realmlist.wtf file to point to the warmane website
