So, as we all know, nothing lasts forever.
So here's my question, when will Warmane, come to an end?
I'm not thinking about an accident, as what happened earlier this year, I'm thinking, will Kaer and the crew ever say, "it's time to quit?"
Will Warmane live on as long as retail does?Will it outlive retail?
What are your opinions and if maybe possible, if some staff could answer, what are the plans in the long run?
Will the server ever stop at one point?
I mean, it's inevitable that it will stop at one point, but how far in the future is that, or how close?
Will I be able to log on in 5 years, maybe even 10?
Might sound a bit unrealistic, considering that this is an old game, but it's a fact that the game is slowly dying.
People should not view it as a bad thing, it's just natural, and honestly impressive that it did last this long.
Even more impressive is that a private server as this one lasts for as long as it does.
What is the real future of Warmane, has the staff ever thought about quitting?
Even if no economic gain is being made?
Just a few thoughts, because this server, has looked death into it's eyes and here it is today stronger than ever.

I agree with BlueAo on the fact that this question has no definitive answer and all we are left with are just speculations.
The reason why I made the thread is because the server has really grown on me for the past couple of years.
I've always taken breaks of a few months and I always came back, so I thought, what if one day I won't have anything to come back to?
It was just a couple of thoughts and questions I wanted to share with the players and wanted to see if someone ever thought about the same thing, which I'm sure most of you did at some point.
I have to say that this thread was more of an emotional impulse and fear of not being able to spend time with friends and being left with only memories of a once great community. :)

I don't see the reason why someone would quit a job that:
a) Pays well
b) You get to play wow
c) You're making 20k+ ppl happy

d) Profit

Kaer and the Crew are not the only people that can run a server...indeed they even have an application process to join their team and it seems like they know what they need based on their hiring advertisements. If they ever did leave, I find it hard to believe they will leave the entire server and it's 3 different expansions with 7 different realms all high and dry..

As long as you keep donating the servers will keep running. It all boils down to finance.
