That's another thing... people have really taken the "progressive" out of context. I've had to clarify it many times.
We always stated this was going to be a Wrath of the Lich King server. We will "progressively go through content," as in passing through these milestones in maximum levels and content. We didn't mean we would be "Vanilla, then Burning Crusade, then Wrath of the Lich King."
Either way, I haven't heard anything about how late game will be handled. The idea of RDF staying disabled still remains just as strong as initially, so I'm not sure if Emblems will be awarded in a different way (like included in dungeon boss drops or something) or if the gearing will just indeed be slower and harder. We'll have to wait and see.
it's simple bro, if you have friends go lordaeron, if you are solo i don't recomend lord since you will outlevel your dungs and dung quests.
Best post EU, perfect for playing with friends.
People in general dont even bother setting up raids/dungeons themselves and just keep grinding.
If solo, it gets stale fast.
Because they are different things, for different uses, used in different ways.
Press the button and the "finder thingy" assembles a group and teleports you to a specific location, where you fight something and there's a reward at the end.
^_^
IMO RDF would be cool to have, but if it stays disabled I'll just deal with it. It's still better than playing on DW/Rag with GS whores and "everything reserved" noobs. In fact anything is better than that :P So that's my final thought.
But it'll really slow down gearing without those 2 eof per day.

Grab the spoon, stick it into what's in the plate, bring it to your mouth, munch and swallow.
Would you use that to justify eating rotten food or feces, just because the process would have similar steps?
Dungeons and Battlegrounds still are different things with different purposes, even if you can take them out of context to say they work the same.
Another thing I noticed on Lordaeron section is that most of those who want to keep dungeon finder disabled are from guilds LIKE 'Is a cookie', you just can't compare yourself to others who are here on a sole journey. You guys have like what, 20-40 people and most of those are already capped and will be capped in a short time again because you guys have so many people that you can do things with. I really wouldn't care about dungeon finder if I had a guild with so many people who want to do the same things I want to do.
Yes, global is being spammed for dungeons, but half(if not more) of those fail, people leave if it takes too long, people leave if there's no summoners right away, etc. I just think that dungeon finder would make it easier for those who are playing solo or are not members of a big guild.
I really like the server itself and I want to be here through progressing and all that, but I don't see myself getting there because not all of us have so much time to spent playing each day. Dungeon finder makes it easier for those who don't have that much time to play, those who do have plenty of time will afk mostly, but isn't that what pvpers do anyway until the queue pops, why make leveling and pve harder than it should be..
Now, I know some of you might say something like 'go play on higher rated server', there's no progressing there, there's no fun things there. People just log on, do their daily things and go off.

Therein lies our conflict. I read the Lordaeron realm information thread. And then I read it again. And again, and again. One thing that remained a mystery to me is, what the hell is the progression system. For example is all the content from a continent released or just a particular raid, how much time will pass before more dungeons/raids are unlocked.Furthermore the two sections : "UNCONFIRMED FEATURES" and "REQUIRED SUGGESTIONS" clearly are "unconfirmed", or as Kaer describes it - features that MAY or MAY NOT make it into the release. Well the realm has been released, so which one is it?
As far as RDF goes, the reason given is bull****. Not having it doesn't make you more social. Currently, I am a member of a very social and stress-free guild. The choice is personal. If you are not social it's because you don't want to be. I'm on board with having it disabled, but certainly not forever. As a person with limited time, the dungeon finder saves a lot of it by allowing me to level faster. Sure, leveling is fun without the tool, but it's not as pleasurable if you're leveling your second, third or fifth character.
To sum up, The realm information thread needs to be edited, with a strong emphasis on the fact that the dungeon finder is disabled, and that for now, the idea is to never have the Random Dungeon Finder tool enabled.

People will drop everything they're doing if they get to run a dungeon with people they can rely on and have fun with. That has nothing to do with guilds.
So if your lfg spam fails it is because people do not like to run dungeons with you.Otherwise they would have press O,added your name and asked you for a dungeon numerous times already. It is called making friends and being one.You should try it sometimes.
despite of my suggestion that RDF should be available in same time as 3.3.0 patch content will (give me Perky Pug man!=] ) - I would like to talk about 2nd part of this topic.
If bosses loot tables wont be changed and they will drop EoT from the beginning it will crush game progression at certain point.
you may disable proper NPCs in Dalaran to stop players from buying anything from EoT's, but i see huge problem with that.
probably many players will exchange them in dalaran to actually buy vendor items that helps raid progression - but i think majority WILL HOLD THEM IN BACKPACK FOR LATER ON.
and then, when ToC will come - tons of players will be able to buy T9 pieces at once and totally crush realm progress.
You really need to change loot tables of dungeon and raid bosses to drop emblems proper to available content - otherwise everything will fall apart in 1 day.

So true.
The thing is with RDF yu can behave liek a douchbag and still get groups. That wont work without it. so another reason to NOT put it in the game.
If you are friendly and dont ninja loot and stuff like that you will get friends and you WILL be able to run dungeons with no problem
And for those that dont have patience to wait 5 to 10 min for a summon or run to the dungeon themself. well they are just lazy ******s and you would not want them in the group anyway
The RDF is a nice tool but it brings so much bad things to the game to. depopulates the world, make it easier for douchbags to get a group and so o
Without it people actually have to behave to be able to get a group. if i have run a dungeon with a person that is an a-hole i will not invite him to another run. but if he is an ok person then yeah he is welcome back
You have 3k people on each side, out of those 3k, you have 2 people you play with, yet those two people have real life and real life problems. You can't even send a single spell onto enemy player without having your heart start racing and all enjoyment of the game thrown out the window. Telling people what to do is hard, as you either have a language barrier or generally hard time talking with strangers, even in written form. I would say, not really a person for this server, correct?
Now, lets take same scenario and add RDF. Not much changes, other than you are now able to get a bit better gear, can avoid World PVP that makes you feel like your heart will explode. You continue playing, enjoying the experience. Where is harm in that?
Pros of current situation:
1. World is populated. It can't be underpopulated at the current stage as there are too many ****ers who go about being level 60, killing level 40s because of why not. People level at different rates, thus creating constant stream of players who wish to get their first level 60. If you really want to do so mentioned "I will stay in city" type of play you can. Infact, as soon as I get my first level 60, I will do that, just to prove a point.
2.People socialize. People always talk, healers yell "MB", person that knows what needs to be done has to tell others otherwise he won't get to finish a dungeon, nobody cares of what DPS people are doing. Guild members or even same country people always exchange at least minimal greeting. People that don't care will continue to stay quiet, go with the group, roll as they require and can easily finish a dungeon without a word, except for "Inv" and "summ"
3.Douchebags are no more. Really? RDF had loot set to Need before greed. YOu could not change it. Now? There is a person, who at any point can change loot, kick people and so on. It isn't hard to escape so called anti-douche call outs. Create new char? Stay low for a while. People that put you to ignore wont see you are looking for a group, few would remember, maybe. It isn't like we have reached level 80 and exp means nothing. Level 60 don't have much to ninja out from others, from what I remember there are no level 60 only dungeons.
4. Adventure! If by adventure one means to get a stroke while running to a dungeon since some group of people decided to be funny and make a BG out of a dungeon entrance, sure.
5.People are forced to explore - to traverse or range over (a region, area, etc.) for the purpose of discovery. I roleplayed in WOTLK, CATA and pandaria. I have nothing left to explore. Unless how many diffrent ways a 10 level higher moron can kill me without me having a single way to respond, if that is explore, It is not pleasurable expierence.
6. No dungeon leaving. Two times, group never had a chance to even reach summoning stone. two times, group rushed last boss without even completing quests. One time, I traveled to summoning stone to get raped by some ******* with a skull for his level and group kicked me. Other three times I had to assume leadership since party knew nothing of dungeon or quests... only two times they listened. Small number to consider a statistical meaning? I think because I personally hate doing it.
7.People that are like myself, will leave and only healthy community will remain. That is just no. People change, get triggered by misunderstandings, lash out in way out of proportion way and community, like a river bed always changes. So no. It wont happen. We are humans, I am broken part of community, yet I am part of it. I only try to argue, I try to control my urge to call people names, I try to control my urge to write down people's names and do them over when ever I get a chance.
Cons, I wont mention because I believe one section of hate will be enough.
In the end. My opinion is valid, since I am part of community, if I wasn't, I would not care and most likely be banned for stating my opinions. I argue not to just get someone flick a switch to bring back RDF, but for people to realize, that any decisions should be argued upon, I created a thread that died shortly after, since people gave up on the "Discussion about RDF" and went with, lets throw feces at other side and see who wins.(Not everyone. But some.)

"Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor release at launch
Outland release 1 month after launch
Northrend release 2 months after launch
Death Knight release 2 months after launch"
From the thread you read again and again and again. From that, players inferred that it would be some sort of progressive expansion server, which we again and again and again clarified that it would be a Wrath of the Lich King server only, that simply content would be released progressively. About specifics, like if it will be all at once for each continent or not, it will likely depend on more factors. You will have to wait and see. Regarding the "Unconfirmed," which are just two, and have a subtitle "Features that may or may not make it into the release," do you see race or faction changed available on the release?

That's the reason players came up with. Our reason is simply that it does not fit our vision for the server. We don't want it and we declared way too many times that Lordaeron might not be a server for every kind of player, and that if you can't accept some of its particularities, you just don't fit into the target population.
To sum up, The realm information thread needs to be edited, with a strong emphasis on the fact that the dungeon finder is disabled, and that for now, the idea is to never have the Random Dungeon Finder tool enabled.
No, what is needed is for players to accept it. This has been stated ad nauseum by Staff, even by Kaer himself. It's listed as a design feature for Lordaeron, not as an "unconfirmed." But people just refuse to let go and there's no editing in one thread or stronger emphasis that will apparently end it.
