Cataclysm
October 4, 2015
As we progressed through classic content on Lordaeron - all dungeons and raids in vanilla have been reworked or fully rescripted from scratch. All of these scripts will be prepared and made ready for release on Cataclysm. After the release of burning crusade on Lordaeron, we will follow the same procedure and also port the new content to Cataclysm as soon as it is polished. Several exploit and stability fixes will also be applied over the next couple of days. We expect to start porting instances to Cataclysm later this month.
I would just like to add that in order to stay properly informed you have to follow all of our outlets. It is true that Cataclysm is not the focus right now but you also have to understand that Cataclysm and MoP have very similar cores so the work that we provide on MoP should also appear on Cataclysm and hopefully the content we have working on Lordaeron (low-level) will also provide some content for the later expansions.
The focus is on one expansion, yes, but don't forget that the focus is also making things more easy to port which in future should mean that once we do something somewhere it'll have an effect everywhere and hopefully will eliminate complaints such as "omg you work on wotlk" and instead provide "omg they're working on something there, we'll get it too" Of course, this is not exactly how it works and there's always obstacles but hopefully they'll be easier to deal with and this post doesn't give it proper justice but that's the best I can explain it without going too deep into the way emulation cores work and frankly I'm no expert in this area.
