I really would like to know what the staff plans to do with Cata. If you don't want it anymore or don't care about it then why not let us move our toons to MOP and be done with it. We wait endlessly for fixes and content, in the devlog you talk about fixes and many things with Wrath and even fixed many things and updated MOP but with Cata you just talk about giving us the old content and nothing about class fixes or bugs or anything else. We have not had an update since May!! You took away our useful marketplace and replaced it with an overpriced one with nothing really useful in it. We can not get hardly anything in game so that is out, even actual Cata content like molten front is not scripted. I couldn't believe when i saw Skarr is now tamable in MOP and we in Cata are playing the expansion that area is from but somehow we don't have it.
We may not be your most populated part of the community (mainly because of the mess Cata is in} but we are part of your community. As i always say when i comment in the forums, i am not trying to be rude or argumentative i just really thought after the loss of everything you really would try and get Cata up to date and reasonably fixed, if i had known we would be a last thought in anything we need, then i would have downloaded MOP and made my toons there in the first place.
I really am tired of going through the forums and reading from people that you don't care about Cata, and Cata is dying, the pve people are upset and the pvp people are upset, i have never seen so many negative comments against the staff than the ones i have read about Cata.
Why not for once prove everyone wrong and give our expansion some much needed attention, you have some very loyal players on Cata that started with you in Wrath and have been with you for years through the loss of all out toons and now they feel abandoned, i know because i am one of them.
They have "priorities" sadly and Cataclysm is simply not one of them, I used to be a cata player but after literally finishing all the content, I don't see any point at staying, moved to MoP, and I feel you bro I was a DK and I had the urge to play a Frost DK so much but It's so broken and unreliable It's unbelieveable but I deal with it as there are literally not even close to as much bugs there is in MoP or probably lordaeron. But I believe they lifted their focus off lordaeron for a little but that's just my thoughts.
If you guys dont give one **** about Cata anymore, let us refund what we bought and close it and gg you happy, players not so happy but who cares, sure not you..
Their efforts are focused on Lordaeron at the moment, but that doesn't mean other expansions are forgotten. There was a time a couple years back when Cata was the focus for quite awhile and WotLK was hardly touched as far as major updates go; my point is that they focus on different aspects of the server at different times and it isn't too fair to suggest they don't care about one aspect of a server because their attention is required on another. I completely understand and agree that Cata needs work and ideally yes, they'd be able to put equal focus and attention into every server and expansion, but in a private server setting that is often not realistic.
From my understanding, Lordaeron has been a long time in the making and it makes sense that so much of their efforts are being poured into seeing it flourish. Knowing Warmane, I suspect that after making sure the realm is stabilized in regards to population, content, marketplace, etc, they will shift their focus to other areas that need attention (Cata included). They may be a large private server but they are still a small team who can only do so much at a time.

You didn't really buy anything. You only Donated which is giving your money away for the servers for nothing in return. The coin were given to you as a "Thank you" All you did was exchange the coins for whatever you exchanged them for.
And the worst part is that they said after they are done with Lord, they will focus on MoP and screw Cata yet again. I'm pretty angry that my 800+ coins are stuck on my Cata chars because I thought they would fix stuff on there. Now I have no coins for my Wrath chars that I started because there is absolutely nothing to do on Cata.
And the worst part is that they said after they are done with Lord, they will focus on MoP and screw Cata yet again.
Cata has all of its raids available. MoP doesn't. Also, BOTH will be getting a huge amount of old-world content. What pisses me off is all these people complaining that they don't come before everyone else.

What pisses me off, are people who dont have a clue
Cata will just get 2 dungeons (see devlog)
in 6 months (see dungeons and raids -> cataclysm bug tracker)
and for mop: The Instances are script, but wont be released, cause the progress isnt that far (see devlog)
The single issue with Cataclysm is how much (almost no) information we get about it.. at most we jump over green_dev saying he's busy with 'some stuff' and will 'look into' something in his dungeons&raids thread... and apart from a very vague devlog we get nothing more...
Things take time to do, okay, but not even mentioning what anyone's doing... updates regarding content coming once a month (if that) and I believe the last proper batch of bugfixes we had was also in may, with half the game broken in the meantime due to new content fixes... meanwhile prot warrior mastery still not working, venomous wounds doubleproccing, ignite stacking doesn't have a % hp cap, don't even get me started on warlock dot scaling and dot clipping turning warlocks into 'summon stone generators' instead of dps, pets vanishing in ultraxion fight, spine trinkets not proccing from dot/hot effects...
and that's just the sort of things that would come into more 'urgent' fixes, not by-the-way minimal things like fixing ONE quest so players can get tabards for wildhammer clan or dragonmaw clan without having to do Twin Peaks in the hopes nabs in green armor and 2 cata pieces will stop honor farming or be honor farmed and go cap a flag...
I get that people are impatient and constantly want something new (which is why Blizzard has been trying to shift into an expansion per year development cycle), but too many people are being *******s to the developers here because they are expecting men to do God's work. It's ****ing infuriating. Nobody bothers to care that they're obviously doing the best they can, and their team simply isn't large enough to give everyone (all 3 expansions) christmas 2 times per month, every month, and never cease or delay. I know for a fact that people playing WotLK didn't complain this badly when they were completely ignored for 2 years. Now they'll all know what it's like to be shafted too. Except for the part they still do have devs working on their expansions. If they have the nerve to complain as much as they have been and refuse to take the answers that were given as answers, then as far as I'm concerned, it's karma.
WotLK players still have to deal with multiple boss encounters in the end-game raid that barely work (and can sometimes be near-impossible to pass by when they should be one of the easiest encounters in the raid; VDW I'm looking at you) (let's also not forget that there is one raid that doesn't work at all, and another that isn't even 50% scripted), and almost half of the battlegrounds barely work (when we queue, we always pray for AB or WSG, yet MoP players QQ that they don't have IoC when WotLK players don't even have a properly working one).
Regardless, I'd rather have them work and apply fixes to the realms than to waste time with information that's only useful for warding off QQers (jk, they'll find something else to QQ about).

I guess you should get pissed off at yourself then. It's like you think that something that isn't mentioned won't get ported (I mean, it's not like they haven't posted exactly what I said 2 dozen times all over the forum or anything).
Not to mention none of that has anything to do with my very first sentence.
But whatever helps you sleep at night.

we have a Q&A team and forum mods which (probably) don't do any sort of game development but should still be able to know or at least check what the developers for MoP/Cata/WotLK are doing and the long term plans... not saying THEY don't have anything better to do, but it's not that hard to copy/paste dev logs for the last few days and post them somewhere...
This might sound a little bit rude but they don't give a ****. Maybe green_dev since he is a one-man-army.
You will just get silenced by mods if you spread your criticism.
There hasn't been a single word from Kaer about the other expansions since Lordaeron was announced and I guess it wont change anytime soon.

We don't have a "Q&A" team. We do have a QA, which isn't the same thing, and whose work isn't in the Forums. Moderators work is in the Forums, but we aren't meant to be PRs in any way, nor is it our duty to chase Developers to get information from them. We do have Community Managers, who have their inboxes open to receive PMs with community questions, though. If people prefer to soapbox and complain in the Forums instead of messaging them, the problem isn't with the Staff.

Nah, you won't. The problem is people confuse "mimimimi" whining and disrespectful trash-talking with criticism, which, again, isn't a problem on the Staff side. People able to make decent, mature criticism are left alone, but those are far from common. To make matters worse, getting two dozen threads of pseudo-criticism that are just clones of each other is pointless clutter, so if your so-called criticism is something already voiced before, repeating it won't get any positive results.
Considering what I said on both paragraphs, this thread is another that serves little purpose besides gathering people to complain yet again. If you want information that isn't being announced, I already told you what to do.
