I'm not particularly active on forums anymore, but i hope this gets answered by some of the staff at hand.
Is there any near future plans to do anything like a merge or a transfer from one realm to another ?(DW to RAG in particular) ?Or cross realm arenas atleast with CLB ?
I think Lordearon is great but since its release the servers feel alot more empty with significant decrease in pvp activity.

From reading around the forums, they don't seem interested in a merge of Ragnaros and Deathwing.

I think it's a really good idea but they keep shutting it down. I don't see any reason why a player on either of these realms wouldn't be up for a merge tbh, I would really like that.

I can think of one really good reason: the queue it would generate on a server core that IS NOT stable enough for it.

Years old...Ragnaros x20 rates and 4500-5k cap.
And this year.........x7 rates, bad achi. market system and dead activity.Dead Ragnaros.

I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of a merge, because people's cool names would be vanished somehow or other players would take them.
The transfer idea I agree with though. Especially by coins. You'd think they would be okay with that.

I don't understand why anybody is suggesting merges when both realms already have high population, you already can't even read global because there are about 40 messages a second and there is definitely no shortages on people for raids, rdfs, etc.

That's for PvE, PvP is pretty dead tho' especially on Deathwing where you wait 15 minutes for a BG -.-

I'm more concerned about actual gameplay than my character names, Mercy.
Servers feel alot more empty after Lordearon launch, and I hope some measures are taken soon to mitigate that.

Fixing that would be the implementation of cross realm BGs/Arenas. That would restore and boom PVP activity.
I don't know if it's possible yet but that would solve the PVP problem.
PVE looks fine and a merge shouldn't happen for it.
Lordaeron might have taken a considerable amount of players away from the other wotlk servers...but that's just temporary in my opinion.
Eventually when the core and updates are copied to Rag/DW, old players might return to see how the servers are like under the new core. They would also have geared characters ready to be played. In terms of future players joining warmane, if they saw 3 realms at x1, x7, x7 - chances are that they will start on a x7 realm. The x1 Lordaeron hype is only for now mainly because of the different core and progression :D
That's just my opinion though and what I predict.
