I am using MOP client, When I logged in it says 'This account needs to be converted to a Battle.net..' and when i tried relogging for the second time its stuck at connecting. I could play it just fine yesterday though. Then I had a DC and the nightmare starts there. The weird thing is that I could play Steam games and surf the net.
I tried everything as below but it doesnt work.
1. Checked config file = it points to warmane and EnGB
2. Deleted cache
3. Reseted router, unplugged it let it sit for 2 mins
4. Flushed DNS
5. I have no antivirus app so i m not worried about it being blocked
6. Added exception in Firewall.
7. Tried configuring port forwarding, but i might not do it right cos i m not used to configure it.
I created a ticket to warmane, still waiting for some help. Now i m trying to re download... sure is a pain.
Can you try to use Wotlk or Cata clients? just to see if it is only with the MoP client the problem, by the way it is really weird if yestarday everything was fine.
thnx for the reply
yea i do. i m not a it techie, what does this do, how does it help?
It's explained on the link.
You basically use Google's DNS to connect to things.
Why does DNS matter?
The Domain Name System (DNS) protocol is an important part of the web's infrastructure, serving as the Internet's phone book: every time you visit a website, your computer performs a DNS lookup. Complex pages often require multiple DNS lookups before they start loading, so your computer may be performing hundreds of lookups a day.
