1. So a club just exploded during a Halloween party...
I am grateful none of my friends or family were there, but damn, it's a huge tragedy and I can't help but feel incredibly sad and useless... I may donate blood for the first time in my life

  3. RIP TSM, VP, and fnatic

fnatic was expected but I don't think anyone expected g2 to beat VP, and the majority thought TSM would win.

I was stunned to see the public movement... It's almost as if it's not Romania anymore..
600+ blood donations on the second day
Free transport for the families of the victims
Free hotel room and food for the families of the victims
    Free food for the victims
More organ donations than ever before

It's sad that a tragedy is needed to bring out the best in people....

This is just the standard disaster response that all countries have to put in place, and the hotels are usually 5 stars.

But over 600 blood donations and a lot of organ donations- that's impressive in a way. I guess people don't really think about it

Not here. They are offered by private businesses, unsolicited. It's not being paid for by the government, but by each business.

Why is it sad? In the day to day life when nothing happens, people are simply too stressed out and too concerned with their own well being to think about the guy next door. We live in a world where you don't really have the safety of tomorrow when you can just get a call and say you're fired, debt, rent or whatever else.
But when a tragedy does happen, then people come together to lend a hand. I don't think it's sad, I think it's wonderful.

  10. The internet in my new place is an absolute joke. I've complained to the Landlord a billion times and he's not doing a damn thing about it. Rent is over £6000 so he ****ing better soon Jesus Christ

    Pray for me pls

Still you can try to help your community once in a while. It's not so hard to donate blood even if a tragedy didn't happen. There are many onlus associations which work for free. They don't ask you to be there everytime they need, it's just a different way to spend some of your free time (unless you work 12 hours at day, which may even happen, but I hope it's not so common). It's a matter of priorities.

  12. I once cut myself on a piece of paper. It hurt.
