This is a forum section called general discussion, right?
Why do you get mad?
Because you have a different oppinion and hate the world so much that you have to look for trouble?
Because "the race" can be a race of skill - who is the better guild as far as raid execution is concerned, or a race of endurance - who needs less sleep. While I do find the latter very interesting, I think no-sleep already has a complementing set of achievements in the form of leveling/profession realmfirsts, whereas raiding "prestige" achievements won't have that if you don't have slightly delayed opening for raids.
Hardcore raiding != Hardcore leveling, and yes, they DO cater to different people, both of the playstyles are legitimate:)
And as for the personal "no benefit for yourself so you try to undermine it" line, I'm not in the realm-firsts race anyway, I just think it'll be the right way to go.
Edit:
Laxner - while the staff will do whatever they want in the end, if we have a discussion here with good arguments for both sides it might help them consider it with more awareness of the full picture than just a coinflip/their own opinion/whatevs, so I can't see what is the point in your attitude(unless you are leveling a troll^^)

Well, that is only viable if Naxxramas/OS/EoE get buffed. Everyone knows the tactics, everyone knows to do some basic calculations. You just have to make a group with a lot of classes which are doing good damage on low gear levels, and thats it. And i think this is stupid, because people which are not playing such classes are just gonna be let outside because of that.
I think for the guilds its a bigger challenge to get a lot of people to 80 and then raid, instead of just waiting for "time x" and then run in and then having to rush it.
But yeah, thats just MY OPPINION, in a GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUM SECTION.
"getting a lot of people to 80 and then raiding" is what all guilds will do anyway(heck, that's what you do in wow PvE, you level so you could raid, repeat every expansion). Wouldn't it make more sense to give a realm first --raiding-- achievement to the guild that is best/fastest/most efficient/whatever at raid execution than the one with the free-est schedule?
The only reason I see to not prefer a staggered release is if a certain person thinks his guild isn't good enough to clear the raid but IS capable of grinding for 3 days straight since release without sleep and brute-force through before anyone else has time to even enter the raid. However I don't think this profile describes you, so I honestly don't understand why as a high-end raider would you prefer a guild version of leveling race over a test of you and your guild's raiding capabilities.
Ever thought about people who left retail because of nostalgia and want to do it the exact same way like on retail? :*
So now instead of rational arguments we depart on a "dem feels" journey:) I'll play along!

How did you two manage to make it a discussion about your guilds and who has a bigger $#$@, I wonder...
Can't you have some perspective and try to see that it will actually benefit both your guilds(and the server health) on the long run by encouraging a competitive PvE scene, instead of just looking at what option will give your guilds higher chances of grabbing that achievement?
With such a small community that raids hardcore here I would think you'll have bit more empathy for each other...
This will happen the Tiers onward
because who cares about the casuals, simple as that :)
And what exactly are you? Not casual? A re-occuring theme amongst you "hardcore raiders" is that you have all played wotlk on retail and it was uh oh so amazing but yet here you sit, wanna have achievement first on a private server that re-simulate a blizzlike experience on an old expansion. Is that NOT casual? If so, I dont know what casual is.
One would think that you so called elitists already cleared this in the past and fast too, considering the attitude amongst many of you. I really dont understand what the fuss is about tbh.. I am also completely with Conjugate here, as he indeed been like the only one actually making an effort in here.
I give up:)
SHHHH don't tell him man. Most of these people have never killed anything when it was the current content, they think they can catch the past now... Do you actually think anyone who killed LK 25hc before ICC nerf would be fighting over "lets make flying not available until 70 for "hardcore leveling kek"" ?
Hardcore in retail means guilds who raid every god damn day when the content is just released until they kill the last boss. I eat my hat if we have more than 1% of them among everyone that claims they were. You wouldn't give a sh** about a private server raids realm first if you actually had obtained it back when it was worth something, people love to imagine different lives for themselves on the freaking internet for reasons I cannot comprehend
Let's just make this a walk only server for more "hardcore" reasons
