1. I don't know if they are or not, and wotlk on retail was too long ago for me to recall.

  2. This messed up honor rates came with the release of WotlK, and saying that they "want you to get that honor but on max level" is just giving them ideas, if they're going to be so obssessed with "blizzlike" servers then leave the honor rates as they should've been at the time of the expansion, with this bug there is basically NO reason to do low level pvp other than twinking

  3. 1-60 pvp was best pvp I had ever on Molten/Warmane. Instant bgs.
60-70 worst experience ever! Not a single bg!

    Exactly.
Some weird custom honor changes made low level BGs inexistent.
They should just use the honor formula from deathwing and ragnaros until they are able to implement a blizzlike honor system.

Not only low level BGs but every aspect of PVP at any level. This is just a PVP-killing-honor-rates.

Any staff member could bring some light here PLEASE? This is way beyond the hardcore realm most of us were expecting.

  6. Seems bonus honor went up, HK honor went down hmm.

  7. Honor was scaling linearly with levels previously when the level cap was 60, which is incorrect. Back on retail honor did not scale linearly with levels, far from it.

We've changed the amount of honor gained per honorable kill to better suit the rates back on retail. Blizzard never intended for you to get noticeable amounts of honor at lower levels for you to spend once you reach 80, and if you've played on live you'd experience this. It isn't uncommon for you to play BGs while leveling from the get go and only be able to afford 1 piece of PvP gear once you reach max level.

However there have been some unforeseen issues with honor rewards from objective completion, and it's being looked into. Do not expect honor gains to be similar to what they were back when we had the level 60 cap though.

But either way, players at level 80 should be unaffected by any of these changes (which is what matters the most).

Thanks for information. Battleground objective honor is good at 70+

Will there ever be a random BG queue option with first win of the day reward? I hope the staff is ready to address the "dead pvp" that BC rewards and honor brought onto the community.

Deathwing and Ragnaros field BGs 24/7 with 1/5 the population of lord. This should be a telling sign that mistakes were made, and might need to be unmade.

No AV was played at 70 with 9,000 people, nor was a simple eye of the storm played ever. If this is acceptable or desirable please let us know.

  9. The Random Battleground feature will remain exclusive to level 80 players. However we plan on implementing the Call to Arms starting this week-end.
Thank you for the feedback and sorry for the inconvenience that lower level players face.

I used to be a 60 Twink back on 3.3.5 retail. By the time I had 1k HKs I was in mostly High Warlord.
If the new scaling is correct at what it was on retail, then why does it take more than 1k HKs for even a few bits of gear?
I mean I have about 50HKs and only 300 honor on my level 60-64 DK. 1k HKs here would be about 6k honor, bearly enough for a trinket and 2 set.

As I just mentioned, honor gains from objectives are lower than intended. On ther other hand, Honor gains from Honorable Kills are much more accurate than what they used to be.

THANKS for your replies! Much appreciate.

So at max level we'll get the honor according to our level. Not the honor grindfest we see at lower 60s, 70s levels? Kind of a relieve since i mostly pvp and was worried about grinding weeks or months for some pieces.

Yes, max level honor gains should be identical to retail/any other normal server's gains. If you believe that the amount of honor you're awarded does not match the "normal" amount at a given level, then please notify us (but makes sure to have proper proof).

Edit: i saved screenshots if you want to see them and dont believe me

I can confirm, played 2 WSG's yesterday at lvl 17, killed a couple lvl 18, 19's got 0 honor points for them. 2 honor for capping a flag, (I thought it was 15 on retail?) rep for capping is spot on though.
