cannot open the client

hello me and two friends have been searching for a good mist server and came across yours. we would love to play. however my game will not open.
i recently downloaded the mop files from your website selecting mist and windows.
and all went smooth till i attemped to open the application. where i got this error:

so my natural reaction was to attempt to start it again i got the same error multiple times.
so then i attemped deleting this file in question. and i still got the same error. so i put the file back. same error again. im not sure how to fix this issue or if it has came up before. i attempted to search the on the site for any information but could not find any. please help me.

Having the exact same problem, how did you manage to fix yours?

you downloaded MoP with WoD models so you need to use WoW_WoD_models.exe to start the game, not WoW.exe.
If you still have any problem then just go here: https://www.warmane.com/download and get "MoP (old)"

when i play with WoW_WoD_models.exe client interface options are not saved.

to fix that problem you can just right click on MoP Folder>Properties> disable "Read only"

guys i just downloaded 5.4.8 and im having the same issue but i deleted the old wow folder because of space ... do i need bouth of them to run the game
