After being disconnected nonstop I checked the realmlist.wtf folder and found out that it said .ru and not .com but when I went to open it, it said that it was "read" only and I couldn't change it. Not sure how to change it so I can edit it and get it set with .com at all. Can someone help?

right click on your MoP folder>Properties> remove "read-only"

I managed to change the realmlist.wtf folder from .ru to .com inside of it, but I'm still stuck at authenticating and then it disconnects me. On the chances I do connect, Lord. is still offline as it disconnects me when I attempt to login [although frontpage says it's back online.] Is it due to server issues that I'm still having this problem?

we cant login to any realm,logon server is down , or unable to login stuck at connecting

if it is not a general issue but your own then try to use google DNS
