1. PvP resil can't be the only cause of this problem. My dmg is lovered by approx. 55%. I used to crit 120k-ish Starsurges, should the stars allign. Now I barely hit 50k crits with all CD's. That's a huge nerf and double DPS 2v2 teams are a joke. PvP, in it's current state, is at least not enjoyable if not unplayable.

    My 513 boomkin hits 95k starsurges with all cd's and self buffs/procs after the update. What gear do you have?

  3. 518PvP. I didn't manage to hit more than 60k on all kinds of gears/players. With buffs, flasks, CDs. My self buffed normal Starsurges did 18-22k dmg.

  5. As a enhancement shaman bursting (with full griev, enchants/gems and trinkets activated) i can't kill a 35% health warrior because of second wind. That did not happen on retail EVER, and I did play those 2 patches. This is not normal regardless of what staff says. PVP is half dead now and for the next few months. GL vs resto sham/war teams in 2v2 #immortal
    You are doing something wrong then. I've faced multiple E-shamans since the new patch and they seem to have the best burst now along with boomkin. Hint: secondwind is only good against teams with low burst.

Starsurges critting like they should, Starfall doing considerable amounts of DMG and when in SolarEclipse, Wrath crits are ok as well. Don't know if they changed anything regarding PvP resil/power / DMG mitigation or I've had been doing something wrong :D

    I did a bit of research online. The stars are as I have encountered. Shamans, Druids, and Affliction. Frost DK's took a big hit apparently in 5.4.8 as well and same with Retribution. Retribution isn't fun to play anymore IMO.

    Second Wind isn't a talent most take in PvP as it's useless when you are getting kited and even if not enraged regen is more useful almost all the time. Second wind is a rockstar in PvE, however, making it viable for fury and arms to solo without completely having to rely on the bladestorm cd. More take impending victory in PvP due to the 30 sec cooldown.

    in 1 milion warriors on 999 999 are using 2nd wind in pvp.you call 3% every sec passive heal useless? enraged regen heals you for 10% intantly and 10% over 5 sec, total of 20% over 5 sec. 2nd wind will heal you for 20% of your hp in 6 sec,but its passive till enraged regen have 1 min cd.you have to be out of your mind to not take 2nd wind.

    The original post suggested second wind was updated in 5.4.8 to leech damage as it is in warlords. It doesn't LOOK like it has here but I haven't tested it. Situationally second wind original version is situationally decent if you play the pillar game for a while staying out of threat, that's about it. Otherwise you are getting bursted down from 170k to nothing in dead in less then 5 sec.

  12. My 522 boomkin before patching was able to crit 140k (High crit), 120k(medium crit) and 100k (low crit), now i crit for 100k (high), 80k (normal) 60-70k (low). This isn't 5% but 25% or more. Healing reduction of my MW monk seems works good, 5% less.

    there have never been a single comment about WOD pvp wtf are you even talking about.the original post was from a guy who say he cant outdmg 2nd wind passive healing as enh shaman.that leech change come with 6.0 not with 5.4.8 ....and its good vs burst comps aswell tnx to the tons of def cds and passive 25% dmg reduc from def stance warriors is one of hardest class to kill.people almost never try to go on them.go watch any MOP tournamet that have been ever played warriors always use 2nd wind.

    it's not because you add 5% resilience that that means you will only do 5% less damage. that's not how resilience works, sorry.


    let's say you did 100 damage on someone with 90% resilience, you would do 10 damage, correct?

    now add 5% resil, the damage you did now was 5 damage.

    So even though you added only 5%, the actual damage reduced was 50% compared to the original 10 damage.
