I copied my wow folder to a friend, and he cant open the pet journal without the game freezing and disconnecting, no errors appears on the screen, just a disconnect (i can open the pet journal without problem)
Blizzard official support recommend a full UI reset, but it didnt work for him nor for players of blizzard itself
Some time ago someone told us a /run script that would fix the problem, something about Blizzard UI (we tried the Blizzard_Achievement fix already, but it didnt work as it concerns another window)
If someone knows that script please be kind to share with us

tell to your friend to follow these steps:
1) open your MoP folder and rename "interface" and "WTF" into "interfacebackup" and "WTFbackup"
2) go here: https://www.warmane.com/download choose "Mist of pandaria", when the torrent shows which files to download you have to select ONLY "Interface" and "WTF" folder
4) place them inside your MoP folder
5) Start the game
Lemme know if it works (if he is not able to download anything then you can do it and then pass to him)

So he downloaded the WTF folder and the Interface, made the substitutions, logged in and the same thing is still happening
What is really strange is that I can open the journal normally, I just copied the folder entirely to him and he cant open it on his PC (which is way better than mine)
When he logs using my computer everything works normal, and my account crash on his pc, looks like its something on his pc interacting with wow, despite it being new too
Well we're still looking for some lights on this matter, or if someone knows the script I was talking about early

Did he disable Read-Only in the MoP folder properties?

get him to try disabling all addons and see if that helps. if it does than he'll have to reenable the addons 1 by 1 to see which one is the cause.

Yes, it still crashes
He is not using any addons, still we tried a full UI reset as blizzard support forum recommended and still the same
Its really complicated, thank you for all the help anyway guys
Ive tried to search for fixes outside of here and still nothing, so any help is appreciated

found 1 other thing you can try, get him to delete the cache folder. doing a bit of googling and so far that's the best i can find.
