I am not talking about doing a reset right now and as Tomcile so wonderfully pointed out to me, "You took the dates too literally. He suggested the CONCEPT of restarting things over once it gets into a stale, and the dates were simply an example... Dude suggested an interesting idea to renew content, no need to bash the first thing you could find".

and if you still can sit there and be childish and naive and only think about your toon and your progression, i followed up by saying, " let those players that wish to keep their progression take a one time transfer over to Ragnaros and leave that server as it is". Meaning Lordaeron clearly isn't your point of focus, but your toon is. If you care more about your toon and less about the server you play on, the feel free to take a free trip off and let Warmane do what they have to do to keep the game fresh ( a year or two down the road)

and just to be clear AGAIN.

On November 17th 2017 the server will be reset and any remaining players left on the server (80) will be instantly ported to Dalaran, lose all gear, mounts, achievement, etc and given some points to buy some blue gear to start heroics with.

This I can assure you can only be good for many players as it gives many of them to play through the experience again and see what it was truly like back in 2008. So please I ask you nicely, don't be so selfish and stopping new players down the road from experiencing what you and i and many others have been allowed to experience as I can promise you, its the experience that matters, not your gear, or your toon, but the experience will stay with you for a life time.

How about if you and whoever else want a "reset" you just delete all your characters and start over yourself? As in, if it's stale for you, you start over, while leaving those who don't feel "stale" alone.

Basically what I got from his post was, "we can't be bothered to worry about everyone else's problem, so we're just going to ignore it until you go away". That which really isn't the right attitude for a staff member to have.

and lol ugh why would i care if long time vets stick around? Long time vets have done their donating and played their time, there will come a time when new fresher players need to be given the torch and a chance to see the content while it's fresh and new.

P.S. How long should someone's progression matter? We'll be replacing naxx gear with Uldaur gear soon enough, so what's the difference between replacing icc gear with heroic gear? FYI: I never suggested dropping players back to level 1, so don't pretend that "vets" are going to have to do it all over again.

i'd be willing to bet that the vets donate far more than the newbies do.

and once you've gotten your end game gear you shouldn't have to worry about losing it. this isn't retail where you continually have to regear. perhaps you should try playing there if you'd prefer gathering new gear every so often.

Then you got the wrong message. You should get "if the game is stale for you, "reset" your own game play; don't expect us to wipe the server because of your doom-saying." Your "suggestion" would be easier to the brain if you came out tomorrow saying you were just trolling, really. Even with the merge of the other two Wrath of the Lich King servers (since with the new core we'll be able to have a stable server with enough player slots to cover their population and more) nothing alike to any "reset" was even considered. Don't expect us to force the vast majority of players who don't share your delusion into losing all they played for, and if a reset is ever considered at all, rest assured it will come an initiative from the Administration, not because of a suggestion.
